Just decided to quit my desk job and do landscaping.

Got tired of sitting on my ass indoors all day, working 60ish hours a week, getting paid for 40 hours a week, and always having to take work home with me.

I have my own business to run, so if I'm going to make money sitting on my ass, I'm going to make it for me. Otherwise, I figured I could use the exercise.

The kicker is, the pay won't really be much different during 40-hour weeks.

So far, I'm really enjoying the decision.

Not sure if coke is the same, but I have a friend who worked for Pepsi and he wasn't allowed to drink coke at home. wtf?

I knew another guy who was a teacher who made so much money land scaping in the summer that he quit teaching. I'm curious will you be working in the winter?

I work for the other big US soft drink company not named Coke or Pepsi and that sounds like a choice, not an order. My house obviously has our products (Hey, go buy 2Ls of Sunkist and 7up!) but I don't see how you could force people not to buy what they wanted outside of work...

I wondered if his manager over sold it. He said they told him that if people were known to be drinking a competitor's product they would be fired. I think they scared him enough that he wouldn't even buy anything but pepsi.

That's unfortunate, because Pepsi is turrible.

Diet Pepsi may be the nastiest soda ever invented.

Coke Zero, on the other hand, is the nectar of the gods.

Recently got on board with Coke Zero. I tend to stay away from "diet" soda, but I tried it and really liked it. I really only drink about one pop a week, though...so it's usually just regular Coke with pizza.

Completely irrelevant to anything being talked about but does that company own Dad's Root Beer? I love that stuff but can only find it at a few places.

I used to love that stuff back in high school. I know World Market carries, least they did back then. I haven't seen it in a long time.

I'm part of an effin' union right now. Really hope Right to Work passes in Ohio or I get a Supervisor position so I can leave the "brotherhood" of mediocrity.

Not yet. I'm very low on the totem pole. If I become a sup' than I get to delegate and shuffle paperwork.

No. A&W is ours though. There are 3 "big" soft drink companies in the US. The first two are obvious, we're #3.

You can google it, I'm not linking anything.
