The place I like the most around there is Dock's Beach House, right there before the drawbridge on the beach in Port Clinton. Great food, not overpriced at all and by far the best deck and view at a restaurant on the shore. IMO Port Clinton>Sandusky in the summer with the exception of Cedar Point

I'm surprised that Berardi's Family Kitchen has not been mentioned in this thread They are one of the best restaurants in Sandusky in my opinion. Good homemade food, decent portions (I rarely finish a whole meal) and most meals are under $10.

The Wharf Tavern on Rte 163 in Port Clinton
Cat sleeps on counter next to grill, petrified booger material is evident on the bottom side of most tables, service is non existent, food is god awful and the exterior is badly dilapidated.
Not really a good choice for a place to eat, but an excellent opportunity to teach the kids about how & why diseases are spread.
I'm all about utilizing educational tools like the Wharf on vacation.
