How much money did Matt Barkley lose? Let that be a lesson to everyone. Screw college take the cash when you can.

Yeah, agreed. People go to college to get a good job that pays well....if you can get the money early, fuck finishing school

Rovell just tweeted that he would have made 12 mil being drafted 10th overall last year and now he is down to a 500k signing bonus.

Here it is...
As the 10th pick last year, Matt Barkley would have made $12.1M guaranteed. He's now down to a $500K signing bonus.

Does anyone have a clue why Barrett Jones is still on the board?

I've seen him rated around 100 overall, so I'm not TOO surprised. But I really really hope he falls to GB at pick 109 in the 4th roundbigdaddy2003;1434781 wrote:Does anyone have a clue why Barrett Jones is still on the board?

If they don't, I hope the Brownies can get him at #111gorocks99;1434814 wrote:I've seen him rated around 100 overall, so I'm not TOO surprised. But I really really hope he falls to GB at pick 109 in the 4th round

Ah I would've thought he would've be gone by now. I just figured there was something wrong with him that the teams knew that the people didn't.gorocks99;1434814 wrote:I've seen him rated around 100 overall, so I'm not TOO surprised. Still a WR with the potential to be a huge steal in this draft- Da'Rick Rodgers.

Well I figured if I gave it time I'd cool down but nope still pretty pissed about the Cowboys taking a TE and WR. I did love the Wilcox pick though. I really felt like they were going to go Warford in the 2nd especially after the 1st round when Jerry said his goal was to improve the O-Line... But I'm just going to enjoy this last day of the draft.
As for Jones I think a lot of people probably hoping their team takes him haha.
For why he hasn't be picked yet he did have surgery to repair some ligament in his foot he tore during the SEC Championship game. Scouts don't believe he is strong enough or has the foot skills to really overpower people in the NFL. Then just like anyone who does really well in college they question his commitment to football just because he graduated with a bachelor's and masters in 4.5 years.
Barrett Jones is a guy I've wanted the Cowboys to get this whole draft though... I doubt it happens unless they trade up though. He will probably get taken by the Packers and then the Cowboys will draft a QB they don't need.

Im alright with them taking WR, especially Williams, since they let Ogletree go. Dont really like the TE pick, mainly because I think there are bigger needs. DOnt have an opinion on Wilcox because I know nothing about him. But at least it was a position of need.Iliketurtles;1434843 wrote:Well I figured if I gave it time I'd cool down but nope still pretty pissed about the Cowboys taking a TE and WR. Barrett Jones is a guy who may have some injury issues. However, he's also one of those guys who could be a "plug and play" lineman who 13 years later, you really miss his consistency and production when he hangs them up.
I'd definitely take him at this point...

Yeah Williams don't bother me that much I just wanted John Jenkins the DT from Georgia there I figured they were going to take Wilcox. He just moved to safety last year so he is still kinda learning the position. I feel like he will turn out to be a great pick. But for them to pick a TE in the 2nd really makes me hate how they picked Frederick in the 1st... could have gotten Ertz at 31 and then Frederick in the 2nd. And I agree with you also hate the TE pick because we have a lot bigger needs. For their 3 picks today I hope they take 2 Dlinemen and 1 O-line they need to get some depth for the Dline.Pick6;1434844 wrote:Im alright with them taking WR, especially Williams, since they let Ogletree go. I really like the Bengals draft so far. Aside from the Vikings I would probably rank them #1.
Eagles and Niners doing well, too.

Will be interesting to see what happens to Sanchez - wonder if the Niners might try to trade for him. Will get Sanchez back in California and a potentially capable back-up to CP.
