Except the guy who hit me eventually came by with his info. Guilt trip? Don't know.
Sobered up, perhaps?

NYE four years ago some drunk dipshit ripped the mirror off of my car and grazed the side.....somehow he lost 1/2 of his hubcap and I drove down into the area I figured he came from and sure enough just a few blocks away I found the Cavalier with the 1/2 hubcap and promptly called the police. It was an older civic he hit and I replaced the mirror and housing and pocketed the amount for the grazed bumper and door.

I don't think I'd ever trust my car on the street.

True story from August: The Head Football Coach from my school was in bed when he heard a huge crash. He runs downstairs and see's a former football player in his driveway, looking like he backed in. Then he notices his truck and his wifes SUV were in the yard. He goes to talk to the kid, who's hammered drunk. First thing the kid says, "Coach, I'm enrolling in your class tomorrow." It's not funny, but it was a 'wtf' laughable moment.

Sad part of the story is there is a house down the road from his house that they party at consistently and the cops aren't able to do anything about it unless they get a complaint. Parents are home letting them drink and drive, do drugs, and all the shit. Fucked up people.

Wouldn't surprise me. But at least he's a well insured drunk driver if he was one.

In my old Dodge Stratus, I was hit and run-ed twice. Sucks. The first was my passenger side door. I think it happened in Pennsylvania while I was parked at a hotel, someone must have tried to park and swung their car around and got my door. Put a nice dent in it, it was able to pop out a bit, but you could always tell there was something wrong with the door. The other was my front bumper/headlight. I bet someone with a truck and hitch backed into it, put a hole in the bumper and busted the headlight.

People suck.

The reflector here lies at about the level of the top of the opening. The reflector in the chunk in the picture is well above that opening.

My wife and Terry_Tate seem to believe it's off a Mazda 6. I agree with them.

Yeah your right I'm trying to think of cars that have that color. It definitely looks like a sporty type car. The only ones I can think of are VW, Audi, or nissan but Nissan doesn't have the reflectors

Neighbor just rang the doorbell. I opened the door. We both said "Mazda 6" at the same time. If this was a student they are in deep shit because my wife shouldn't have much trouble figuring out who it was. And at this point they are a felon if they get caught.

There should be a part number on that corner to verify if it was a Mazda or not.

He found some numbers on it and ran a google search that ended up eventually pointing to the Mazda 6.

Didn't question a thing. I just figured they wanted some peace of mind by taking away any doubt. :D
