I think a lot of programs around the country are going to do this to avoid the embarrassment that Notre Dame will always be known for.

It just sounds hilarious that an athletic program would catfish their own athletes. Nothing wrong with it as it was probably a good practice, just funny to think about.

Yeah, it's a weird way to go about it. Makes you wonder if there will be growing attempts at catfishing athletes or other famous individuals with the Te'o story out.

The ha-ha part is that they were posing as "Ohio State Girls"...who could blame the skunkbears from thinking they might be getting a chance to step up from their typical diet of scUM coeds?

The university and athletic department have been denying this story like crazy since it broke. Unfortunately for them multiple people in the media who were at the event where Brandon talked about doing this have reported it.
