Under the radar, just how we had it planned. Looked at JJ huddle for the first time in about 6 months and according to most over there we should play a JV schedule, good bulletin board material

On a secondary note, I saw Mr. Ritchie the other day at the gym and had a brief talk with him. When I told him I no longer lived in the Ville and was in Medina and why, he eagerly offered to give me, my wife and kids a tour of the new school facilities and what Orrville had to offer that my wife may not be aware of. Seems like a SUPER guy that wants people to come to Orrville and raise families! Was a great gesture on his part and really seemed genuine!

I saw nothing from Short that made me think he was "the guy" at any position much less QB. Former players of Coach D all have the same attitude toward him (they would do anything for him) He is doing far more than coaching football to these kids...he is teaching them how to be good people and work hard. Anything he asks them to do he can and usually does do him self. It is nice to see a coach that cares about the kids (not just on the football field) and teach them to work hard through his actions. I like seeing a coach that will hit the weight room as hard as any kid on the team. It is or can be contagious.

I think Bryce is probably a bit more mature physically over the past year as well. I don't think his talent was ever an issue. He has skills. I only got to watch the the Madison game last year so I cannot judge the season, but my guess is that folks wanted the plug pulled at the QB spot and insert Bryce. Tough call given the prior record of the Senior.

I am no football guru, so I cannot speak to X's and O's but I can speak to coach D's leadership skills and we are very fortunate he is our coach. He does waaaay more than the average coach for his players both present and former. My 3 sons would agree with Chase Hoobler's statement.
