Are going up. The new proposed price is $79/ticket instead of $70 with two games designated as premium with a higher price. I can see Wisconsin being a premium game, but I'm not sure what the second game will be. Indiana? Pedo State?

My guess is they are floating $79 as an increase so when everyone complains they can drop it to $75 and people will be happy it's not $79...

$79 is nothing. Raise it to $100.

Just LOOOOOOVE this premium pricing in sports.

Soon i expect them to start charging LESS when shitty competition comes to town!!!


Few years ago went o the blue jackets and penguins game. It was considered a premium ticket and cost a little bit more. I had asked the ticket person why and when she said it was a premium game I told her...you do realize both tof these teams are nearly in last place so how is it premium....She didnt know how to respond. Of course, it was premium because they knew it would sell well due to pen fans showing up.

Penn State as the other premium would have to thier only option.

Urbie might be the first and only coach to ever go undefeated in 2 seasons at the OSU.

As for the price, the Bucks would have to do a couple of 6-7 seasons in a row to even come close to not selling out. Even at 0 hudred a ticket.

There is way too many people and scalpers in line.

I just checked for Alabama's website and their ticket prices were 55 for the 3 shitty games, 70 for the 2 decent games, and 85 for their 2 premium games.

Really 80 isn't even that bad. As others have said I'm surprised they aren't more because you know people will pay it. As for the average I'd guess it'd be around 60.

There were some games last year that did not sell out. You could get on ticketmaster the day of the game and find unsold tickets. You could actually scalp tickets last year for under face value almost every game. I remember just a couple years ago the opening games were being scalped for $120 a ticket.

Perfect storm (team coming off terrible year, not eligible for postseason, particularly bad schedule). Aberration for the most part.

Also, for what it's worth I have gone to many home games and scalped tickets and never paid more than $100. Usually if you wait until kickoff you can get a ticket for pretty cheap. I went to the UM game last year and couldn't find anything for under $200. Right after kickoff, I couldn't find one ticket.

I remember my family came down to visit and wanted to go to a game but didn't have tickets. It was one of the shitty OOC games so we figured tickets would be selling at or slightly above face value. The first guy we go to wanted $150 PER TICKET. LOL. No clue if he sold them or not, but this was like an hour before kickoff.

Good grief. I think they heard what you were saying about people will pay whatever they are charging. I never thought they would go $175.

2013 AND 2014

Two premium games: $110, $125

2015

Two premium games: $125, $150

2016

One premium game: $175

2017

Two premium games: $125, $150

Yikes. Maybe they should consider lowering the non-premium games a few bucks then. Part of the reason you can justify the high prices is that the shitty games subsidize the higher end games.

With that said, $175 for a Michigan game is totally worth it. I don't even know how to value that ticket.

I agree with that. People are willing to pay more for the good games but nobody wants to pay face for the shitty games. Season ticket holders are going to get screwed.

I probably will not pay $175 to watch the Michigan game. I know many people will. I don't know what I would do I somehow managed to win the lottery and get that game.

I'm curious what the premium tickets will do to the ticket market. Will people not buy them and the University make them available to people who normally couldn't buy them so they are no longer looking for tickets, or will it just push the price up even higher? At $175/ticket I can see it going either way.

Scalping tickets can almost be an artform! BEfore my friends and I got steelers season tickets we would scalp 2-3 times a year for steeler games. We got to be pretty good at it. Just gotta be firm in haggling, dont be afraid of walking away, and do alot of walking to find people. Usually you wanna find white guys who are selling their tickets is what we found. The black guys usually were the "professional" scalpers and had higher prices, and for the most part the crackers were guys who had extra tix and just trying to get rid of them.
