... I don't dislike any schools but you might has well named this thread who hates Massillon & Steubenville because that seems to be the mindset of most huddlers and what this will probably turn into.

I respect both those programs for their accomplisments on the field & have met some great huddlers from both communities, but I don't dislike anyone ....life is too short for that type of stuff.

4cards is absolutely right. we should be celebrating high school athletics and the tremendous importance it has in our communities. Making hate lists isn't something that we should ever be doing with regard to the great schools throughout our State. We should be celebrating the incredible lessons that sports participation brings to each athlete.:)

There's definitely some hate towards Big Red, but the majority of it(most won't admit it),is jealousy and envy!

What Big Red has coming back next year and for years coming...that jealousy and envy will turn volcanic!

I was at all 6 State final games this year. I was VERY impressed with Alter's defense...big,fast, and strong!

Defense was good this year but....I still think 2006 defense was more physical and had more athletes. I still would have called 2006's defense the best that Alter had if we had not run into you guys in game 15:blush:

I would say that the most disliked team in Ohio has got to be Big Red but........take it easy and hear me out. I do not dislike Big Red the team, I greatly admire them and their accomplishments speak for themselves, but some of their fans are completely over the top. After this season though, I have found another team that has fans (a few of them) that appear to even make Big Reds most obnoxious fans seem like altar boys/girls.........Amanda Clearcreek. Big Red hands out butt kickings on a regular basis but, on the rare occasons when they receive one of these butt kickings back, at least they don't make excuses about it.

You know more about the Alter teams from 2006 and this past year, but I was still VERY impressed with this years defense.

VERY well coached and disciplined...ran their defensive scheme to perfection!

Sometimes people bring the so-called dislike on themselves because they like the attention...even if it is negative. Most of the teams people dislike are successful teams and the dislike is bourne out of jealousy. I respect teams around the state that have consistent winning programs. As as Sylvania Southview supporter I do dislike Sylvania Northview. That is just a good old fashion cross town rival.

I don't think Elder is hated as much statewide. Their fans are pretty classy for the most part. If you had to put a Cincinnati team on the list I would think either Colerain or Moeller fit the bill. They seem to be a lot more myopic and in your face (ala the other teams on your list). Try going on a Cincinnati board and talking sports with those guys.

Logan seems to have some 'hate' or 'bitterness' towards them in SE Ohio. Statewide..will definitely have to agree with Massillon & Steubenville.

... Thanks swampfox. As 2009 comes to an end, we can reflect on how much high school sports impact our young men and women & hopefully teach them valuable lessons that will help them later in life. I can't wait until 2010 football season rolls around again.
