It is very late my time (nearly 1:00 a.m.) and I don't think I could ever be happier than tonight. I have my dog at the foot of couch, my wife on one side sleeping on my shoulder, my sister-in-law (who is more like our daughter) on the other side sleeping, and I'm watching James Bond in Casino Royale. Life is good, even if it is the other side of the world.
This is good to hear. I'm terribly nervous about the move, but I've yet to talk to anyone who left BigLaw who regretted it. Fortunately, MKE's pay scale is so compressed anyway that it won't be nearly the pay cut as if I were coming from another city. 5 min commute to work, 5 mins from the babysitters, er, in-laws, 10 mins from Mrs. FFT's job... Should be good all-around.
