Jimmy Boy is finding out just being a big-shot billionaire doesn't cut alot of cheese getting some schlump to take over coaching the most inept franchise in the league. Allow me to recap for you...
Kelly...uh definitely a No
Marrone...got a better offer so its a No
Trestman...how do you say No in Canadian?
Wizenhut...After touring this excuse of a city I've gotta say No
Chudzinski...Leave sunny Carolina for that armpit of America? No Way!
Zimmer...Nobody has ever heard of me outside of the Cincy 275 outerbelt so I might consider this dog of a job.

Yeah I saw that Webbie where you lit up COA and the rest of the Browns Mafia. But you gotta rememner you were using a thing called "logic" which is unheard of in the blighted area known as NE Ohio.

The browns didnt interview that many people the last two hires. Not surprised you don't know that tho.
Nice fail.

This mean nothing. I asked if Browns fans really thought ownership change would really make a difference for the Browns. They all seemed to think so. Yet they can't even hire a decent coach.like_that;1362827 wrote:The browns didnt interview that many people the last two hires. Not surprised you don't know that tho.

Number of interviews between owners is totally irrelevant to the conversation.
And now I am trolling since it's in the basement.

Well, with the firing of Mularkey today, 25% of the NFL was/is looking for a new head coach (two have been filled), so the fact that Cleveland is one of six teams still interviewing, no big deal. Besides, I think their next head coach can't be interviewed right now because he's coaching on a playoff team.Tiernan;1362822 wrote:Eagles & Bears? And why in the Hell WOULDN'T you want to do your due diligence and interview as MANY candidates as possible? It's like a free 3-7 hour consulting gig. You pick the candidate's brain for ideas, get a feel for thoughts (league-wide) on your current roster, etc.
You're making a MUCH bigger deal out of it than you really have to with your weaker than Capone-like effort.

Exactly. I'd much rather see these guys interview 10-15 guys than pull the Rander Lerner "oh...Eric Mangini just became available? I think I just pissed down my leg. Where's my phone? He's HIRED!" or the Mike Holmgren "Got the Rooney Rule candidate out of the way, now I'll hire Fritz's nephew" type of kneejerk shit.like_that;1362827 wrote:The browns didnt interview that many people the last two hires. Apparently this is all going over your head. You said nothing has changed. Well the old way for the Browns last ownership was to hire a guy immediately... This time around the Browns are interviewing numerous candidates to get the right choice. They haven't lost out on anyone. They didn't want Kelly after his interview. If they lost out on Kelly, he would have been coaching for another NFL team, not back at Oregon. And once again, as this went over your head the last time, the Browns have no had much change in ownership in their history. You are trying too hard.WebFire;1362863 wrote:This mean nothing. Don't need to "rationalize" it. If someone like Kelly, Cowher, Gruden, Saban, etc said "no" to Cleveland and then "yes" to another team there might be something to your "nobody wants to coach here" theory.Tiernan;1362907 wrote:You all are some rationalizing mofos aint ya?
Truth be told, Cleveland is a cherry job for any one of these coaches. Young, up & coming roster (Steelers & Ravens going to decline/OLD, too bad, so sad) along with $48.9 million in cap space ($35.5 million HAS to be used this year) and an owner who cares & is hungry. Not a bad place to be.

Jimmy Boy is giving Wizenhunt another chance to say "No" according to ESPN @ 3:30pm. Not sure how this fits into JB's claims that he would be hiring "a name" coach...
but I gotta give the little shit credit he keeps plugging away and asking girls to the dance, even if it has to be the fat ugly ones nobody else asked.
