I heart Houston. Play like shit, get outpitched by Jordan Lyles, still win because they're incapable of doing things right.

After I saw how Houston lost to the pirates, I thought of this post:

The Tribe, which already had the record for most (previous) Cy Youngs beaten in a year, added another (7th) today with Felix Hernandez.

Hernandez
Colon
Lee
Halladay
Dickey
Verlander
Price

Maybe we will see Sabathia and I know we will see Peavy again...

Looks like Cabrera is getting serious about repeating his triple crown tonight.

Best hitter in the game. Will more than likely win the MVP again and possibly the triple crown.

Might go down as the best RH hitter in baseball. Maybe some bias in that statement since I said I thought that would happen 4 years ago lol...

His career numbers are on a silly pace...but health always seems to get them.

Impressive by the Tribe.

Wins over 8 former Cy Young winners this year.

Braves tv guys were saying Ruiz is headed to the DL with a bad hamstring injury and Howard has something going on with his knee. What's the word on Howard going forward?

Jonny Venters had Tommy John surgery a few weeks ago and Atlanta announced today that Eric O'Flaherty will undergo TJ tomorrow. Bullpen went from a strength to an unknown rather quickly, but at least Kimbrel has gotten things straightened out.

Adam Dunn with 5 HR's in the last 6 games. He's raised his OPS from .539 to nearly .700.

I'm surprised he retired. With numbers like that he was clearly in the middle of his prime.

And he'd spent time the previous year pitching in the hotbed of professional baseball excellence known as Korea. So you know he had to have all sorts of leverage. Being able to say you're not just an American baseballer, but a Global one...he had the world in his hand and just chose to walk away.
