Good to have you back on this thread durkie.

Now who is in on the over/under on how long it will take durkie and br to make another steak bet? I am going placing the O/U at 100 posts.

I'm glad Durkie is back and utilizes "Go Find Yourself" when he feel he needs to. Here at the OC, we are all finding each other in happiness and glee.

I'd take him at 6 if they can get their pass rushers in FA.

Good to see you back durkie.

No steak bet needed. Browns are making the playoffs this season.

Milliner won't make it past Detroit.

Sirius XM was talking to a Steeler "fan" from Cleveland yesterday and an interesting topic was brought up. A few mocks have Warmack falling to the Steelers slot in the draft. I'd hate it if he ended up wearing piss & black. Wasn't a huge Decastro fan but a healthy Decastro along with Pouncey & Warmack would be a pretty formidable interior O-Line for years to come.

Adam Caplan believes that Banner will strike early in free agency, signing 2-3 key additions then letting the market settle in and the numbers to come down on salary demands.

We can't start drafting to keep players away from other teams. Draft who we feel is the 100% best pick for us. I'm not worried about the Steelers to be honest. They may have a good season this year but they're definitely on a downward spiral.

The Browns never strike in free agency, why should we believe it will happen this year? I guess my point is..i'll wait until this actually happens before I get excited about this. We hear that "rumor" every damn offseason and it never happens.

I agree completely with all that you're saying, including Pittsburgh's decline, but I'd hate to see Warmack end up there. I wouldn't draft a player just to keep him from going to another team although adding Vasquez & Warmack would likely give the Browns the best O-Line in the NFL and T-Rich would be sporting a chubby 24/7 just at the thought of it.

Apparently you've forgotten the Phil Savage era? A lot of his moves turned out bad but nobody can say he wasn't extremely aggressive in FA.

I'm definitely down w/ Warmack, as long as we pick him because he's the best fit for us, not to keep him away from Pittsburgh haha

Warmack on our line would be nasty. But I do think a stud DE/OLB is the best pick with that 6th pick. We are not going to have a winning record w/ the defense as is + a few mid round draftees.

They need a pass rush and I keep hearing Kruger's name come up. Not sure he's the best fit. Could be a Flacco-type situation (timing) where he peaked toward the end of the season and will parlay that into a fat contract with someone.

He had what? 9 sacks during the regular season? Or is that 9 including the playoffs (where he had 4.5)?

And wasn't he a backup? I'd take a chance on him, as long as it doesn't break the bank. I'd give him a good chunk of change though.

Also i would take Warmack in a heartbeat. If T-rich can't pwn with that line, then he can GTFO.

Yes. I said it last year and I'm holding firm. Ross Tucker (Sirius XM) was saying this morning "if the Browns get solid QB play, watch out." I believe this. Whether it's Weeden or whoever, if they get good QB play, they will win. If Weeden hadn't shit down his leg in a couple of games and if the defense hadn't pissed their pants, they had a shot to be there last year.

I think this defense is going to terrorize opponents and if they can establish a running game, the QB is going to look a lot better. As I mentioned, whether it's Weeden or not, a running game will make the QB look a lot better. Weeden had some of his better games when T-Rich was going.

The only thing with Warmack is that the Browns would have to trade down. Value charts/payscales aside, you don't take a guard at #6. Most of these guys that are "in the know" have him going mid teens to early 20's.

As an FYI, for those who wanted Matt Moore (probably the best free agent QB), he just re-signed with the LOLphins...

yea no kidding..i actually think we are better off without him, especially for the price. he gambles too much and is always out of postion anymore. his replacements last year did fine considering the defense was on the field most of the season and we had no pass rush.

Im skeptical on the defense. Moving to a 3-4 is a dumb move imo. I expect them to regress.

I don't. Can't regress too much from that suckass/passive defense Jauron was running last year. Whether they have all of the pieces in place, or not, I still think we'll see an aggressive/blitzing defense that will terrorize opposing QB's. I also expect the offense to be similar...aggressive/quick strike.
