Just saw he's 29. Had no idea he was that old, thought he was around 26 or 27.

Well...tomorrow night at midnight marks the unofficial start of free agency. Teams are allowed "legal" tampering up until 3:59pm Tuesday 3/12.

I just heard the Browns are going to pursue Paul Kruger. That would be a nice pick up.

Not for $10 mil a ye he's asking. A career backup for 4 yrs in Balt and basically is cashing in on a nice playoffs. I'm very wary of paying him big money based on his production outside of the playoffs. I don't want to pay him for his success on another team.bigdaddy2003;1401918 wrote:I just heard the Browns are going to pursue Paul Kruger. That would be a nice pick up.
Def interested, but I'm leary of him. ESP at his asking price.

Think I'd rahter have Ellerbe but I wouldn't have an issue with Kruger (I know, they play different LB positions).
I think the Browns will end up with someone like Groves. The Avril talk has me scratching my head. Must think he can convert to a 3-4 OLB.
Some interesting names being thrown around on the OBR.

If we don't sign Keenan Lewis away from Pittsburgh I will be severely disappointed with the offseason

I would be cool with Ellerbe (ILB), Lewis (CB) and Vasquez (OG) to be our "bigger ticket" signings. Then draft Jordan for the OLB/pass rusher.sleeper;1401976 wrote:The only free agent I want is Welker.

Browns have the most money to do it now that the Bengals franchised Michael Johnson.Commander of Awesome;1402000 wrote:That'd be a huge off season IMO. Signing two fo the top 5 FAs.

Wait until Dalton and Green are on a contract year. Knowing Mike Brown, he will throw the sink at both guys. One obviously will deserved to be paid, the other won't.BR1986FB;1402005 wrote:Browns have the most money to do it now that the Bengals franchised Michael Johnson.

Not so sure I'd want Welker. I think he needs Brady as much as Brady needs him.

I think the Pats re-sign him. They'd be stupid to let him go. 3 years $21-24 million and call it a day.BR1986FB;1402024 wrote:Not so sure I'd want Welker. I think he needs Brady as much as Brady needs him.

Lewis defended 23/100 passes against him last season. He had the second most passes defended, but was also the second most targeted DB in the NFL. Also had 0 interceptions.
Anybody know of a database that has passes defended as well as passes targeted, or even a completion percentage against them? Would like to look at that before I can make a judgement.
The Steelers did sign Ike Taylor over him.

I'd take him at #6 if the pass rush OLBs they want are gone.Commander of Awesome;1401479 wrote:We draft Milliner I'll be pissed.
