Ha, could you imagine that War Room on Draft Day? The Browns would lose every pick because we'd go over the time allotment. No one would be able to agree on the same person to take. COA would hate every pick anyone else brought up because it wasn't his own.like_that;1433186 wrote:I wish this thread of Browns posters could join together and buy the browns. ****, we surely could do better than the **** heads running this team in the past 10 years (as long as footwedge and iggy have no say). It's pretty sad how we can easily see how some of these rumors would be so ****ing dumb for the Browns, yet the front office is still considering it.

Don't forget the "Joe Banner factor." Banner is a salary cap guy, pure & simple, but I could see that little midget, with his Napolean Complex, try to put his "stamp" on this draft by making personnel decisions.like_that;1433290 wrote: I have a bad feeling because of 1. the ridiculous rumors I am seeing, and 2. the fact Lombardi is a gm makes those rumors believable. I honestly don't think the guy has an understanding of how important the draft is.

Banner at least has a history of trading down. Im hoping if he wants to place his little "stamp," it's him telling Lombardi to stfu and trade down.BR1986FB;1433312 wrote:Don't forget the "Joe Banner factor." I expect someone to come up with a new tag line for the thread title relating to how we fuck up the draft tonight

IMHO: Worst case is no trade back due to all three tackles being gone, Jordan taken, No DT taken yet, Det takes Ansah. I think Mingo would be the pick.
Hopefully Oak takes Floyd, The tackle from Oklahoma is on the board and they can trade back.

I'm pumped for the draft. Significantly less so now that it's only 1 round today and not 1+2.
Prediction (with a condition):
If all 3 OT's go in top 5: Milliner or trade back for someone who wants Milliner.
If 1 OT is still there at 6: Trade back to Dolphins or Jets and take an OLB.

I wish the draft was still on Sat/Sun. Draft parties, draft all day etc...

You guys are all nuts. Give them a chance before you start bashing them for their choices. Haven't even had one draft and you guys are already hating on them.

I can honestly say, this is the first year where I haven't gone crazy with mock drafts and speculation..and it's been great. While I do have the same feeling sort of doomed feeling as you guys, I'm going to at least withhold comments until it's actually over.Commander of Awesome;1433444 wrote:You must be new.

For the most part, I held off and remained calm until the past 2 days where I started to see these ridiculous rumors.DeyDurkie5;1433449 wrote:I can honestly say, this is the first year where I haven't gone crazy with mock drafts and speculation..and it's been great. I'm really nervous that Lombardi tries to show us how smart he is by trading up for Mingo or something. A guy who didn't do shit.
Hopefully its not a fail like last yr, trade up for a running back who produced 900 yds, and weeden.... nuff said.

If we somehow trade down and pick up a 2nd I firmly believe that they will trade for Mallett.

Jeff Howe ‏@jeffphowe 2m Source: The Browns have called again about Ryan Mallett. The Patriots want at least a second-round pick in return.

If the Browns trade down to get a 2nd they should wait and see which QBs are left before they end up trading their 2nd for Mallet.Commander of Awesome;1433486 wrote:Jeff Howe ‏@jeffphowe 2m Source: The Browns have called again about Ryan Mallett. Having this discussion with my friend. When was the last time the Browns drafted somebody that you REALLY wanted to be drafted. For me it was JT.

Mingo! Book it! (If he's on the board and they don't trade down)

Joe Thomas for sure. I wanted Courtney Brown as well. Ngata I really wanted as well. I was livid when we gave him away to the ravens for nothing.

Haden. I was also real happy with the Winn and Robo (oops) picks when they happened, but its a different level for guys taken in the first round.like_that;1433494 wrote:Having this discussion with my friend.
