You know I would say it's a good lesson to learn. Completely disagree. The crazy HS fans created this situation with their undying love for the football team and the emphasis that is put on it.Nothing wrong with crazy HS fans until laws start getting broken.

Because life isn't fair? I don't disagree with you. But is the majority bad or good on this team? I am not saying that it may not come down to an entire team/school suspension of the football team. Just saying that I would want to make sure that is the cure. The fans aren't the ones covering it up. No, I am saying that coaches and superintendents may be as much or more of the problem. Fix that and fix the team. Any of the students or people involved in this crime should get the maximum penalty by law. How is it a cop out? You are really out of touch if you think the community's over the top support for the football program has not caused this. The Super is put into place by the school board, the school board is elected by the community. The football boosters provide a ton of money to the athletic programs. If the whole city was up in arms about all of this and wanted them all fired and nothing was happening, I would say you have a point. Problem is they are not.
