Yea the vast majority of people don't think he's very good. Not sure how he's overrated as an nfl player. Also, to say he was overrated in college is just dumb as shit. He was amazing.

Umm wasn't drafted in the first round as a QB?

What did the Jets give for him (have no idea)?

Tebow will unfortunately have some success somewhere, mostly just because that's how shit seems to work. He is god awful, though.

I hope he goes to Jacksonville....has his 3-13 season and then moves on. Right now he's a guy with an insane record of achievement in college and everyone that knows anythings knows his style can't work in the NFL....but then he gets 1 chance and goes on a big winning streak and even won a game in the playoffs. If he never got another chance he might actually be the most successful player in terms of wins and losses never to get another chance....and I'm not a fan of that.

This doesn't mean anything to me necessarily because it's not like the NYJ were managed by anyone sensible. The fact that the Jets seldom looked competitive or decent this season means that: A. Someone probably should have given Tebow more of a chance, because what did they have to lose? Or B. He must have just been very awful Monday through Saturday that they felt like he didn't deserve a shot on Sunday.

I thought they were saying the owner of the Jets wanted Timmy but coach Ryan did not?

As bad as he is for what teams need.....I bet he gets another chance after next year, possibly another position.

Teams need people to block for the punter and stuff.

Wouldn't go over $20 on a bet though. Just a feeling.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl--no-let-up-in-senseless-attacks-of-tim-tebow-000552979.html

Never mind that reports of Tebow's insubordination all came via secondhand, unnamed sources or that Ryan wouldn't confirm the story. One reported moment of a frustrated quarterback is enough for some to assassinate the character of a man who has proven time and time again to be as standup a human being as there is in a world where more and more sitting down is encouraged and celebrated.

What other player gets that kind of "critique," especially one who's coming off a season in which he finished 8-5 as a starter (including a victory in the playoffs)?

Maybe Tebow isn't good enough to be an NFL quarterback, but the "experts" who proclaim to know unequivocally that he isn't don't really know. In fact, the only evidence there is says otherwise. He has won in the NFL. He's done it more times than not, and he's done it despite being set up to fail. Heck, he was the best player on a pair of national championship teams that, last I checked, played in a conference that produces an awful lot of NFL players.

You can't afford enough money to make that interesting. How about the loser leaves this site permanently?
