More and more it looks I think ND will be able to shut down ALabama pretty good. The Tide doesnt have a great quick strike offense and I think ND will hold them down.

Could very well be a low scoring game....17-13 Domers

^ Pretty much exhibit A as to why I hope ND wins. SEC fans are insufferable and need to be put down a peg by losing to ND of all people.

I think they are already taken down a peg with Florida losing to a Big East team. But to have both SEC schools lose in BCS games this year would be fan-fucking-tastic!

At the beginning of the bowls I would have given anyone Notre dame and 20 however after the pathetic showing of the SEC (which not nearly as strong as people think) It is possible Notre dame wins this game.

LSU lost
Florida lost
Miss. ST lost.

They lost to so called pretender conferences The big east really? the big ten? Seriously? and the ACC are you kidding me? So the SEC is really not so strong as people think.

What's funny is the SEC may end up 6-3 and with another national title, yet still be overrated. I guess it's all perspective.

The SEC was overrated this year not because they weren't the best conference, but the records were padded a bit because of how pathetic the bottom 5 teams were.

Kentucky, 0-8
Auburn, 0-8
Tennessee, 1-7 (beat Kentucky)
Arkansas, 2-6 (beat Auburn and Kentucky)
Missouri, 2-6 (beat Kentucky and Tennessee)

These 5 teams combined for 5 conference wins, a total record of 5-35 and none beat any other team outside of this group of 5. It played out about as "have" and "have not" as it could have.
