I have a "feeling" that Georgia wins tomorrow. I hope they don't...but who knows.

Apparently, tickets for the BCS NCG if it's Georgia/Notre Dame are going for upwards of 3-4 grand per seat due to both fan bases being extremely starved for national title hopes.

I'd much rather see Alabama ND than Georgia ND. I'll watch both because it won't be an SEC vs. SEC garbage fest like last year.

Generally I like Alabama more than Georgia, but it wouldn't be terrible to see some new blood playing for a title...

BTW, it better be a great game...I turned down on-field sideline tickets to the Wisconsin/Nebraska game to have a Saturday off to watch the UK/Baylor basketball game and all of the football action...

Crazy comeback by Kent. They looked buried five feet under with 12 minutes left...

Instant response. NIU has outgained them by 300 yards. They deserve to win this.

Kent's athletic department has had a pretty great 2012 overall.

Why is this Pac-12 game being played at Stanford?

Edit: Nevermind, just looked up the rules. Figured they'd play on a neutral field. Question 2: Why can't Stanford fill up half of their stadium for the conference title game?

How about we don't run a reverse on 3rd and 1 from the 5 in OT, and fumble it 15 yards backwards Kent

NIU by 8 in 3OT due to the 2 point conversion rule?

Arkansas +9.5.
Kent State +7.5.
Stanford -9.5.

This is scary...how close they all are.

No chance NIU reaches the top 16 with losses by UCLA and Texas?

They'd only need to jump Michigan and Boise.

Not a chance IMO. UCLA is winning right now, and I don't see Boise losing either. If push comes to shove, regardless of any losses, the voters will leave idle Michigan in front of them.

NIU is ahead of them in the human polls already. The problem is the computers. NIU was #23 there coming into today, UM was 15.

Baylor beating Oklahoma State would help NIU in the computers too.

The human voters will do what they need to do to give Michigan that added boost if there is room created to do it.. They jumped an idle Boise more spots than a victorious NIU last week.

Here's what is stupid.

NIU > Kent State
NIU's loss > Kent State's loss
NIU's coaches' poll ranking > Kent State's coaches' poll ranking

Kent State's computer ranking composites: 20, 15, 15, NA, NA, 15 = AVG 18
Northern Illinois' computer ranking composites: 23, 19, 21, NA, NA, 23 = AVG 23

The Massey and Sagarin ratings don't give any respect to the MAC. Sagarin doesn't rank any non-BCS teams in the top 25, NIU was 40th and KSU was 49th. This will keep them out of the top 16 because they are already ahead of UCLA and Boise in the other rankings. Because of the Sagarin rankings, no MAC teams will even crack the top 30...

I predict NIU finishes just short...even if losses happen, they will just vault someone like Michigan, Northwestern and Oklahoma State up in the polls and enough to take the computer average advantage over NIU.
