No doubt Knaus deserves a big part of it..but Johnson still has to drive the car and give the correct feedback to his Crew Chief so he knows what he needs to do to the car. It is definitely a team effort.

Sorry but Nascar isn't a sport in my opinion. Driving a car at high speeds in strenuous circumstances is not a sport. Those guys have hand eye coordination and can listen to directions from someone else, good for them. This debate is pointless because there will always be the people who dilike Nascar (like myself) and those that do.

I just find it hard to believe that someone who is driving a car can be considered a better athlete than Usain Bolt (whom was mentioned earlier) or most other athletes. Sorry Jimmie but you don't deserve that award.
