This is completely irrelevant and is something you guys said would stop if he was no longer a mod. So stop.

Except you left out the most essential detail: that we lied and covered it up. That's what caused the derailment.

This (i.e., Florida) and ESPN.

Maybe I'm just wrong on this then. Like I said, I have no connections to the athletic department. If schools are constantly turning in each other for violations as small as phone calls, then the sport is truly in a sorry state.

It's not in a sorry state, it's in a highly competitive state where millions of dollars are out there to be had.

And it just demonstrates the point that the NCAA is very much reliant upon members enforcing the rules and reporting violations not only of their own (Universities often report numerous instances of secondary violations) but of others as well. The one thing the NCAA has very little of is investigative power. If people don't cooperate then there isn't much that can be done.

Bielema says he'd never turn Wisconsin in, FWIW.

Cool but Bielema doesn't have much say in the matter. Compliance is a separate entity.

This.

Also, it was OSU compliance that turned in Florida, not Urban although that's what ESPN would have you believe.

The sport is OK. The rules as they exist are a joke. They need to blow up the rulebook and start over.

The outcome of this O'Bannon case will be interesting if it sets a precedent.
