Yeah covering up a drive-by shooting and other shit. If proven true, UM could be in some serious trouble.

I'm assuming it can't be. RS is usually decent at fact checking. The way they have worded it makes it sound like they dug into it as far as they could and didn't get anything more than "haha I bet Urban fixed it for him"

Covering up drug tests? I don't necessarily believe it but it's plausible.

Covering up a drive by shooting? I don't think even a college head coach would do something like that to keep a player on the field. But if in the infinitesimal chance that's true, he would be quickly dismissed from OSU and brought up on criminal conspiracy charges.

I agree with you on the drive by shooting. In this day-in-age, not only would a college coach probably not TRY to cover up something like that, the fact is that they likely COULDN'T do it even if they wanted to.

As far as the other stuff, I hope it's not true. But OSU put itself intot he "hired gun" coaching ranks when then brought this guy in, so I don't feel sorry for the school. I expect we'll be hearing from Meyer's daughters via Twitter about how "unfair" it is for their multi-millionaire father to be persecuted like ths. Haha.

As long as the Buckeyes win who cares if the world thinks Urban is a big scum bag?

Something like 41 players from that roster from the 2007 title team have had legal run ins I think the stat was, all this Hernandez story does (true or not) is burnish the guys image that he doesn't give 2 shits about anything but winning at all costs.

When did that become a bad thing?

I agree that OSU should not comment on this. However, I highly doubt the Rolling Stone reporter sought or cares about team business. Outside of central Ohio and college sports circles, Ohio State football is not meaningful.

uhh wut

They quoted a reporter in Florida who complained about Urban not giving him access to team business, such as punishments or issues with Aaron Hernandez, leading the reporter to say that he thinks Urban was probably covering something up.
