8 captains seems a bit odd.LJ;1492089 wrote:About half the fucking starters are named captain for the opening game

It dilutes being a captain. If he had wanted to honor those that received so many votes, he should have done 3 team captains then a weekly honorary captain from the pool of the rest.Pick6;1492147 wrote:right on cue.
8 is a lot, but what difference does it really make? Glad Guiton was named captain.

"It’s the first time I’ve done something like this,” Meyer told the team, according to a release. "We had eight individuals receive a lot of votes, and all were within 12 votes of each other. So they’ll lead us into each game as captains and at the end of the year a decision will be made as to who will be the season’s captains.”
My guess is this will start getting airtime in the next several days - especially since the first game is not much of a match up. I can't really see how the allegation that Meyer covered up positive drug tests years ago can be proven. But it will get the talking heads going because there's not much compelling news the first week of college football.Mohican00;1492223 wrote:I'm ignoring the Rolling Stone article for now....
So dumb
At the end of the year?
