Johnny Manziel gets my vote for the Heisman, I don't care if he's a freshman. More overall yards from scrimmage than both Cam Newton in 2010 and Tim Tebow in 2007, plenty of highlight-reel footage, and making Bama look silly when everyone thought they were invincible.

Marqise Lee from USC is great, so is Manti Teo, probably some others, but give it to the freshman.

Agree?

Yeah. He looks like the complete package, and having a Freshman win the Heisman is win-win for college football. It might make Archie a little anxious, but I think he deserves it.

The storylines played out tonight. It's a 2-man race.

Te'o and Manziel. I'll give Te'o a 75% chance of winning it...

Teo is a great player, great story on a #1 team. I could see some old-timers refusing to vote for Manziel simply because he's a freshman.

I also think A&M losing twice hurts as well. Had they beaten Florida or LSU, they would be where Alabama is today and Johnny would be a lock. Ifs and buts...haha.

No way Manziel doesn't win it, by far best in game

No problem with Manziel winning it. Frosh or not...he has done enough. Although I wouldn't be mad if Te'o won it since I'm an ND fan.

Hoping Manziel wins it instead of Te'o. Te'o doesn't deserve it.

Yeah, it's a down year for stars in college football hence a freshman and defensive player in serious contention for the award. That being said, there are quite a few players who won a Heisman even though they weren't the most deserving so I would like to see Te'o win it.

Ingram for one. Tebow and his 8-4 season another.

I know this won't go over well but Archie Griffin's 2nd Heisman as well. Muncie, Bell and Dorsett all had better seasons that year.

I really don't care about Archie's Heisman's. He's a winner and that's all that matters to me.

I'd disagree. Barner, Lee, Klein, Miller, Manziel and Teo have put up huge numbers and torn it up all season. I think it's better than a few of the seasons where there were only 3 people in NY because no one else was competitive

Not sure why Collin Klein gets knocked out of contention for his team losing 1 game in which he played mediocre, but Johnny Manziel is able to skate past 2 loses (1 of which was an absolute dud from him).

A HOME game (against LSU) Johnny Manziel was 29/56 (52%) for 276 yards (4.9 average) with 3 interceptions. Now that is pretty bad passing game, well you know, Johnny is a dual threat QB, maybe he had a decent running game? WRONG.

17 carries for 27 yards (1.6 average) and no rushing TD's.

It wasn't like Manziel had to force things during the game to keep TA&M in it. They were up 12-0 when he threw the first (led to a TD from LSU). Score was 14-12 LSU when he threw the second and 17-12 when he threw the 3rd (the third led to another TD for LSU).

Collin Klein got "knocked" out of Heisman contention for a game that wasn't NEARLY this bad.

Flavor-of-the-month, as all of this reminds me of the hoopla surrounding Jeremiah Masoli back in '08/'09. He's had an excellent year, but we'll see what he does over the next couple of seasons. That being said, I look for Te'o to bring home the hardware from NYC, regardless of ewok's blasphemous post :D

Te'o has better numbers then Woodson did when he was the last defensive player to win it.

Yeah, but Woodson played Special Teams and some Offense too. His punt return for a TD vs. OSU in their last game of the season probably sealed the deal for him winning it.

Vball-LOL. I hope you're right.

I agree. He seems to be the favorite after the Bama game. He didnt look very good against UF or LSU, Te'o has been solid all season long. If I had a vote I would give it to Te'o

LOL, I would hope a LB has better "numbers" than a CB. But, how many TD catches and PR for TDs does Te'o have?

If Te'o won it over Johnny simply because of seniority, then the Heisman is a sham.

Klein still deserves it over either of them but Te'o will get the most "feel good" votes and win it.

Webbie, with all due respect, I've thought this since the day Woodson won it over Manning.

I think there could be arguments most years.
