And Craft taking the shot is exactly what Matta wanted. Matta will always tell you that he doesn't run plays for specific players, he runs plays to get SOMEONE open and he wants that guy with the good look to take a good shot, no matter who it is.

It has also bitten Matta in the ass, like Buford taking the final shot against UK when Diebler was shooting 57% from 3.

Didn't diebler can the late 3 to tie the game

Buford was 2-16. He had made 2 shots all game.

Yes, Diebler hit the 3 to tie and Knight hit a jumper to win it.

Damn it, I don't even want to think about Buford taking that shot while Ohio State still had a timeout left to get Diebler the ball.

I know. It's just Matta's style though. He lets his players play into shots, rather than dictating who is going to get the ball.

It works sometimes too with great results, ala Ron Lewis

Probably the most upset I have been over a buckeye loss

Even though his strength is NOT shooting form the outside, that window (the only window, btw) was open yesterday, and he took it. Do you seriously think that if Thomas was open he wouldn't have gotten the ball to him? Watch the replay, Tate, and you'll notice that the other four players were on the other side of the court, as the play was called specifically for Craft. I wonder who called the play? That's right, Coach Matta. Express your opinions all you want, but let's not skew the facts as they happened.

You are correct, everyone has flaws, but the ones you stated aren't Craft's. Sorry, but you're wrong. Dead wrong.

I respectfully disagree. Someone who is good at going one on one with their guy doesn't shoot 39% for a 25 game stretch. He's been much better lately because he's letting the scoring come to him instead of forcing it. And I do not think he passes to DT even if he was open. Hell, he just waved him off yesterday. He was taking that shot regardless and thankfully it worked out and made up for his turnovers and missed shots down the stretch.

Ok, enough about my disdain for Crafts selfishness in the last few minutes of close games, the Buckeyes won, are playing this Thursday, and life is good. :)

Thad Matta doesn't set up the offensive sets, Chris Jent does. Craft made the correct play against ISU, bottom line. Deshaun's guy fought through the screen and had him covered, the big switched onto Craft. He did what he was supposed to, and it worked out. It's over, move on.

Michigan has guys that can score. I think Michigan will be a better team with Spike running the offense next year. He isn't near the player that Burke is, obviously, but he is smart, and good at the point. And he's not a bad shooter either.
I kinda agree with this. Burke is definitely the more skilled offensive player, but Michigan has a lot of weapons, and I feel like Burke forced a lot of things toward the end of the year. I think Hardaway, Robinson, and Stauskas would've greatly benefited from a PG like Craft. Craft excelled his Freshman and Sophomore years because he was the 4th or 5th option offensively.

I do, but that's jmo, and he waved him off because of the defensive matchup he had.

Anyone seen Loving live? Looks like he has a nice shot, just wondering if he will step in and play next year.

I've seen him 5 or 6 times this year and laley has seen him a bunch over the years. He's really talented offensively but will need to get stronger and more aggressive before he can contribute. He has a very laid back temperament but has really good skills.

I have, about four times this year alone. He's come a long way, and not only needs to get a whole lot stronger, but work on his ball handling skill as well. He'll definitely play a three, as he's got a silky smooth shot and can knock down shots all day long. He's not aggressive defensively, but is agile and smart enough to stay between the ball and his man and interrupt passing lanes. To me, one of his greatest assets is the ability to keep an even temperament, especially in hostile environments. Again, the kid can flat out shoot, and should help fill the void that a departing DT will create.

Pretty much, except that he doesn't get "lost" in the play as Ross seems to do sometimes. However, we'll see what happens once he gets to the next level.

Or are you shocked that the shockers got the late time slot? Get it? Get it? Seriously, ESPN and all the media outlets are over playing the "shockers" nickname.
