Quick story...
We stayed in the muni lot for the entire game. A car caught on fire because a fan dumped their burn barrel and didn't check to see if it was cooled down. The car as pictured...was a disaster.

Anyhow, a friend wanted to see this persons reaction after the game when she realized what happened. Turns out it was a steelers fan. The fan (a younger girl) was crying hysterically obviously when a drunk cleveland fan(also a female) walked up to her and said..."hahahaha....fuck you!" lol...our fan base.

I don't care who was on the field. This win felt great.

That game was a downright abortion!
Neither team looked like they wanted to win it as they kept giving the chances to the other team. It was like the older brother (steelers) trying to let the younger brother (browns) win but they just were not cooperating.
but hey...a win is a win is a win is a win. I told you steeler fans who wanted batch..the limp noodle of an arm is much worse then BL deficiancies

i thought he looked better than leftwhich...once they decided to let him throw it after 20 straight dives up the middle. problem was every pass he completed they called holding. that being said lets hope hoyer stays aroundAutomatik;1329475 wrote:I want Batch....to retire. The dude is ancient.

our recievers especially wallace need to help him out and try to attack the ball more instead of just watching it get picked

I have close to zero confidence with either of them back there. I wouldn't mind at all if they threw Hoyer in next week, if he's shown he can grasp the offense. Not much else to lose.Gblock;1329478 wrote:i thought he looked better than leftwhich...once they decided to let him throw it after 20 straight dives up the middle. problem was every pass he completed they called holding. that being said lets hope hoyer stays around

Wallace needs to catch the one that he tipped up and got picked. No doubt about that. The one long pass, that is more difficult to stop and leap back.Gblock;1329484 wrote:our recievers especially wallace need to help him out and try to attack the ball more instead of just watching it get picked
Burress def looked like the burress of old with inexact routes. Granted, well I mean, granite, the ball was thrown late and such but on the out he needs to come back to the ball.
No way batch looked better than leftwich...come on guys.

It being a new offense this yaer I imagine batch still knew most of it, especially being this late in the season. WTIh that said...they didnt, and wont, open up the playbook for him either way. I guess letting hoyer play wouldnt cut the playboook down much at all. BUT..the game is in baltimore. Really want Hoyer to start?Automatik;1329490 wrote:I have close to zero confidence with either of them back there. Eh...hell...why not. What batch may have over hoyer in teh terms of playing in front of that rowdy crowd he def gives back in abilityl

I wasn't able to watch this gem of a game, but from I've read/heard Batch was garbage.
I think this will be a wakeup call for Pittsburgh to ditch the washed up QB backup crew.

Reps to that cleveland fan. Would love for the Dawg Pound to get back to its former glory where steeler fans knew better than to go to the Cleveland games.wes_mantooth;1329420 wrote: when a drunk cleveland fan(also a female) walked up to her and said..."hahahaha....fuck you!" lol...our fan base.

At this point, why not? Dropping 3 divisional games in a row seems imminent regardless. Maybe Hoyer comes in and pulls off a shocker?:laugh:thavoice;1329500 wrote: Really want Hoyer to start?

They had no business running deep routes with Batch back there. He was throwing wounded ducks that would even make Colt McCoy snicker. His shorter throws weren't bad but the deep stuff was garbage.Automatik;1329501 wrote:I wasn't able to watch this gem of a game, but from I've read/heard Batch was garbage.

Why are some of the Steeler fans blaming the game on Batch?
What about all 4 of your RBs coughing up the ball?
Yes, the Browns defense made plays (big hits, stripping the ball, etc) but regardless after the first or second you'd think they would be covering up the ball better.
I just can't believe that they had that many fumbles from RBs.

Yeah, Batch wasn't stellar but their RB's did Pittsburgh no favors. Nice to see the defense force some turnovers.jmog;1329510 wrote:Why are some of the Steeler fans blaming the game on Batch?

With Rubin & Taylor back the Browns have a nice D-Line rotation. Run defense has been very stout as of late. Good sign.

i agree...it wasnt batch's fault even the drives that they didnt fumble we were starting on the 10 yd line. when he did have a good play it was holding.
maybe now they will just pick a running back to play instead of not letting a guy get a ryhthm. ive never seen a team be successful by having guys sit on the side line and get cold and then come in and run the ball...they did it the whole game

I'd say the entire team and coaching staff contributed to that suckfest.

I don't understand that either, regarding the RBs. Dwyer and Redman are similar players.Gblock;1329514 wrote:i agree...it wasnt batch's fault even the drives that they didnt fumble we were starting on the 10 yd line. when he did have a good play it was holding.

Go with one of them and Mendenhall, bring in Rainey on occasion.
I'd actually like to see Mendenhall fuck off and go somewhere else.

it also sucks as a running back when the other team knows that you are about to get the ball on a dive and they tee off on you every play because they have no fear of any pass responsibility

Exactly. Especially when there's no threat of a vertical passing game. When it's all dink & dunk, defenses can stack the box taking away both the run and the short stuff.like_that;1329526 wrote:Sounds like the Browns all of the past 3 seasons.
