That being said, I'm still rooting for you guys.
And you'd look silly wearing undefeated season shirts when you weren't. :p

My buddy lives in fort Meyers so I'm trying to find some cheap airfare to fort Meyers and then drive down to Miami (2 hour drive) anyone know where to find cheap plane tickets?

Congrats to ND and good luck to them. Def did not see an undefeated season coming. I only watched the first quarter, but if the offense plays to their potential and defense can stop the run, they could have a decent shot.

Saw someone retweet a tweet from a Florida travel site. Maybe @Floridanow? Has some kind of deal.

And that is the reason ND has a big fat NBC contract.

Everyone tuned it to see if ND would win to go to the NCG. The other games did not have any impact on anything. I'd be curious to know what the numbers and revenue were for NBC during the shit years.

Fair enough, I don't disagree.

I don't know the exact numbers. But the numbers had to be good enough for NBC to want to keep renewing the contract.

By 8:00pm, fans had already watched their own teams. NBC had everyone in primetime staying warm indoors. Great circumstances for ND ratings. I'm glad so many got to see Kiffin perform his coaching skills of the preseason #1 to their 5th loss.

Since we're talking about it, here's a pretty good article I read the other day about ND's ratings.

A few good quotes:
Networks other than NBC televised Fighting Irish road games this season. The average audience for those games, Adgate said, rose by 51 percent.
When Notre Dame played Oklahoma on Oct. 27, the telecast was at the same time as Game 3 of the World Series. It drew, according to Brad Adgate, the senior vice president for research at the media service company Horizon Media, some 8 million viewers, nearly as many as the World Series game and more in the coveted demographic of men between ages 18 and 49, Adgate said.
And my personal favorite...
“If Notre Dame gets in, it will be the most watched cable program in history,” Adgate said. “We’re talking 30 million, just because it’s Notre Dame.”

I dont know why we are arguing this. Notre Dame is BY FAR the biggest draw in football. College or NFL. Football in general is the biggest draw in TV. Notre Dame is FAR AND AWAY the biggest draw in television.

False. United is.

Just joking though, ND is one hell of a draw. Can you imagine what OSU vs ND would have done? My god

There is obviously no link. But they get the top ratings.

Its tough to compare to NFL because of what you are forced to watch in certain timeslots. But Notre Dame is considered about twice as good as the next team in terms of ratings, based on what Ive been told/seen from Cable Companies and what their ratings sheets say (I have no clue how to read those damn things. Way more confusing than the typical Nielsen stuff).

I haven't talked about the actual game yet. How good was Theo Riddick? I'm a big advocate for Cierre Wood to be the feature back but Theo was an absolute monster last night. Might be the most important player on offense outside of Golson. So versatile, runs hard and makes plays.

Reilly is a POS.

He needs to practice up, he might have to take that job after ESPN inevitably fires him

Watch it again. The pass was clearly incomplete, Lee never caught it.

Oh I'm sorry, is this thread for talking about NBC tv contracts and stuff or the Notre Dame vs USC game that was played on Saturday, November 24th, 2012?

You said something about the game that wasn't true. Sorry for correcting you....I guess?
