I called it before the season that they weren't a contender for the National Championship (I didn't think they'd be unranked by the end of the year though which is looking likely). Lane has yet to prove anything as a head coach.

We shall see. I don't think Notre Dame has the type of offense (ie: a good one) that is prone to tearing the USC defense apart.

Agreed. My buddy who is a USC alum cannot stands him and wants him fired.
Apparently, most of LA wants him canned too. Just too much of the other crap besides the poor on-field performance.

Yep, I did, and boy was I wrong.

On paper, they were legit. But, the D was too thin, and the offense not disciplined enough.
Still, Lee, Woods, and Barkley are just straight sick. Give them a decent line, and they would be lethal.

Silas Redd should have made them scary fucking good on offense... Like top 5. They are still solid though but that defense is a horrid liability

I'm sure PSU fans are kind of happy about USC's struggles since Redd decided to leave them high and dry for what were supposed to be greener pastures.

I thought USC was back?!? The media likes to prop them up every year (same with Florida State) and they always disappoint. They have the talent, but they never get it done, or at least haven't in some time

Braxton Miller's defense was poor for long stretches of the season and he put the team on his back.

I never bought into USC being preseason #1 because I knew how Lame Kiffin is. I've not heard a single word out of Yaw Yaw Orgeron or Monte this year in the media. Leonard Williams is a freshman who went to Mainland high school just a few miles from me, and he has been starting since mid season.

Lol Ohio states d is way better than usc's d. And USC has played a lot better teams than Ohio state and he has a shit offensive line. Usc's problem is definitely not barkleys
