That is what the poll is, though. And you don't usually get a bounce at the end, only go lower. He's only been GAINING momentum as far as losing popularity and approval. Unfortunately by the time he's done he might be the worst ever without the "since WWII" qualifier.

Oddly enough the only thing that might save him is Repubs taking the Senate. But all signs point to Obama mailing it in even more so, rather than accomplish something for a legacy. Even the leftist media is finding it REALLY hard to continue to defend the guy - they've basically gone from "FAUX NEWS IS LYING!!!!" to "Fox News is making more of it than it is".

I remember hearing a lot during the Bush years about how you can't intelligently judge a Presidency until at least 10, 20, even 50 years have passed.

I'm just amazed at the average American's ability to form an intelligent opinion on the merits of the current Obama Presidency vs. the performance of Presidents in office before they were born.

Either way, I'm guessing Obama will be ahead of Bush's 25% approval when he leaves office.

The fact any libtard uses bush as a measuring point for Obama says enough.

"Progressives" have been measuring Obama's performance against W since the day Barry scurried out of the corrupt Chicago Political Machine to dethrone Queen Hillary.

Yes. Wager? I'm even willing to give points.

But you have to be willing to pay up, unlike Quaker who welshed.

True in the case of W, mainly because we won't didn't know how Iraq would play out 20 years from now, which would have a dramatic impact. Other things on the economic and fiscal front we know much sooner.

In Barry's case, his snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in Iraq probably destroyed two legacies rather than launch his own. All signs point to Obamakare being a failure. His record on jobs is not good, at all. And for the icing on top he's already added about $8T to our debt.

So already plenty in the rearview mirror to see Obama as a failure. And the fact that's he's always seen as campaigning, rather than leading and working with Congress, isn't going to help him.

True. If you're using shit as your measuring point, you can't have high expectations.

Democrat rep unloads on obama:

"He's so close to the border. And let me say this: when I saw, and I hate to use the word bizarre, but under the circumstances, when he is shown playing pool in Colorado, drinking a beer, and he can't even go 242 miles to the Texas border, and plus, if he doesn't want to go down to the border, there's the Air Force Base where HHS is holding some of the young kids from the border. He could at least make that trip to San Antonio, but again, border community leaders wants to see him down there on the border, and I think the optics and the substance of it is that he should show up at the border," said Cuellar.

And he had some advice for the White House."If they are worried about putting a face, the president's face, to this human crisis, humanitarian crisis, I think it's worse if he doesn't even show up. Either way, he's going to be tied into this humanitarian crisis. he either can roll up his sleeves and go down to the border, or he can just look aloof and detached and not go to the border, send surrogates down there, and say that he's got everything under control."

He adds, "It Just floored me, because if he's saying he's too busy to go to the border but you have time to drink beer, play pool."

The president was in Colorado last night -- drinking beer and playing pool.

That's been the MO of his entire presidency. Obama is only interested in campaigning and hosting celebs. It's much easier to give a speech than it is to actually roll-up your sleeves. I think even his supporters are starting to realize that leadership is more than just giving speeches.

I'd be really careful about wagering with this guy....you need to agree which "poll" you are going to use. While CBS/USAtoday polls said Bush left office with a sub 30% approval rating, Gallup poll had him leaving at 40% approval rating in January 2009. The nadir of his presidency was 35% in April 2008

No need to be scared.

We would use the RCP average at the time of Bush's last month in office vs. the RCP average at the time of Obama's last month in office. Pretty simple.

Dubya's final RCP average was 29. I doubt Obie will beat that...the lowest he'd finish with is probs in the 37-38 range.

...considering that Romney's 47% comment was spot on, 37 would be a stretch, and an absolute embarrassment for his administration.

Between ACA and the border crisis, Obama still has a lot of powder left to soar ever lower. He'd probably already be below 30 heading toward the teens if he was a Republican

Drudge is having a field day on the immigration debacle. Does this idiotic administration realize that people of both political parties are not in favor of the government's actions? American Blacks are the worst hit by this. And Michelle is touting higher education for all these DREAMers - and who is going to pay for that? And where are the jobs?

The country made the worst mistake ever in 2008 and doubled down in 2012. Either Obama has the world's worst advisers or he's too stubborn/insane to listen to them.

It's a combination of both. You don't have to be a Rhodes Scholar to be a good leader, you just need to hire good people. And Obama's problem is he probably never learned good management/hiring practices because he grew up in the community organizer/academia bubble where loyalty and passion are often valued over talent and ability. It's a world mostly bereft of "do-ers".

Some people ARE natural leaders and can get past that. But for others who've never been exposed to an environment where you roll-up your sleeves and get to work it's a lost cause.

I used to laugh at the whole empty suit/empty chair criticisms. I didn't really see it then, but it's proven to be 100% accurate. Because you CAN be hands-off if you have good people...good people CAN prop-up a poor/ineffective leader...but as we've seen over the past 2 years Obama does not have good people working for him.

I still think Perry is an idiot, but he's not the complete clown portrayed by the left (in comparison to, say, Joe Biden).

It will be interesting to watch Barry's response since he refuses to send any Guard there.

What do you mean? Obama sat and did nothing until someone else has to step-up to address the problem. Classic Barry.
