To be blaming Bush 5.5 years later is implicit acknowledgement of failure.

+1.

In any other profession in the world, if you get hired to replace somebody who did a shitty job, you are expected to fix the "mess" that person caused. If you fail, good luck using the "it was my predecessor's fault" excuse to save yourself from getting fired.

This + 1,000.

We should have known we were in trouble when this was administration's first meme. If this guy had ever worked a day before in his life instead of having everything handed to him he would know what the definition of "inherit" is.

Seriously, Obama has done the job exactly how you'd expect a community organizer to do it. He doesn't work with Congress, rather he gives speeches and then attempts to use polls to tell Congress that's what should be done.

That's an inherent flaw/weakness in the populist approach (the assumption that the public is well enough qualified/informed to guide policy)...but Obama actually tries to manipulate and spin the facts, so he's actually a statist masquerading as a populist.

They also resort to the snobby "we are smarter than you conservative rednecks" approach as well.
I have to admit, I do have one extremely liberal friend on FB - mainly because she does charity work for the SPCA and she might be distantly related (need to check with my father on that). But holy crap she is off her rocker. She will post 50+ times a day, every day, with Huffington Post and Mother Jones links which no one responds to and no one likes, yet she continues to to post stuff.

And to be fair, I didn't expect Obama to fix the economy in his first 100 days in office. I didn't even expect him to do it in the first 2 years of returning to office. But fucking christ it's been 6 years and we are still are in shitty economy and the liberals STILL blame Bush. It's Obama's fault. Fuck that guy.

That's funny, but he's in better shape than 99% of men his age and probably about 90% of all men.

Those are pretty high percentages. I beg to differ. I'm surprised he wasn't working out with a cigarette in his mouth.

While funny, that video was highly edited just to be that, funny. Only showing parts where he looks lost looking for weights, or is doing "girl" workouts like lunges with 5 lb weights, etc.

I bet if we got an unedited version it would look like a decent workout for a man his age, if not a good one. And I can't stand the guys policies.

He gets the "decent" part of his working riding a bike and throwing baseballs.

Don't do "girl" workouts. Problem solved. :)

I'm more worried that 40% of the people in this country 'approve' of this administration.

where else other than California, of course.

I keep hearing about some announcement today from Obama about easing the burden of student loan debt for millions of Americans.

What sorta bullshit is this giong to be today?

Instead of $620 a month it'll be $610? Or instead of 8% interest rates on my loan it'll be 7.8%?

I'm still trying to figure all that out...the interest rates on my student loans are like 2.5%, and interest rates in general were much higher then.

My post was actually a bit exaggerated but I have 5 different student loans, each ranging from 5-7% so not that far off.

So apparently he is signing an executive order saying borrowers are no longer allowed to pay >10% of their monthly income in a month.

Meaning, I am paying more in interest over time, thus costing me more.

Yay

How about putting a ceiling on interest rates? Student loans can't be above prime. How about that?

How about putting some kind of stop to institutions raising tuition? Isn't this new bill just going to make college more expensive?

Instead of prolonging student loan burden, how about helping to fix the main issues, mr president?
