We have some corn, only because the price skyrocketed so much (from the drought and forced ethanol use) that demand was curtailed. Liberals would rather put it in the gas tank on their Volvo, conservatives would rather feed the country at a reasonable price. As always, government intervention creates market distortions.

Sorry for the late response, but I agree. It seems he was trying to discredited legitimate concerns by sprinkling in the conspiracy theories. I'm just not sure if I would be more concerned if he was being intentionally dishonest l or if he truly believes that the IRS Scandal=Birth Certificate Conspiracy Theory. Interesting. I was going to say the interest is fungible money and unless the money is specifically earmarked it's just hyperbole.
But how in the world is student loan debt 6.8%? Even if default rates were 20% I think lenders would be lining up to get those kind of yields.
