I'm not sure, but I'm going to guess transition activities always include conversations with domestic AND foreign entities. It's not technically legal, and mostly makes sense as a policy, but I'm sure stuff like what Flynn did happens with every incoming administration.

You're not supposed to unmask those US citizens, period. If some concern (which the left was very capable of working itself into, not unlike birthergate) about Trump and his team weighed on that choice to unmask, that only further heightens the problem into a political one.

It's all sounding more and more like you're typical community organizer "Rules for Radicals" - you lost your election and your legacy is going to be dismantled, all you can do is hope to undermine and invalidate the agenda any way you can.

I like how she lied through her teeth, again, about not knowing anything. In her defense, maybe she is just a decent, honest person who struggled to keep up with Obama and Clinton.

I'm thinking Trump should have the IRS audit her every year for life.

Multiple sources tell Fox News that Susan Rice, former national security adviser under then-President Barack Obama, requested to unmask the names of Trump transition officials caught up in surveillance.

And what we are seeing clear as day, now, is that the mainstream media are all completely in the tank for the Dems, never criticizing the Obama administration and covering their eyes and ears at every scandal.

Suffice to say that CNN can do whatever they like...that doesn't change the fact that Ms. Rice has a problem on her hands.

CNN has long surpassed MSNBC as the bottom of the pond.
As per the article you linked:
UPDATE: In an interview on MSNBC addressing this story, Susan Rice has now confirmed she unmasked Trump campaign officials, but is denying doing so for political reasons.

LOL. A week ago she denied knowing anything about unmasking of Trump officials.

It's pretty clear, with that EO Obama signed in his final days allowing unprecedented intel sharing between groups, that it was political. Why would you be worried about the Trump team "erasing" the data when that data is not admissible? You couldn't use that intel in any prosecution because it would have been illegally collected without a warrant. So the only logical explanation is they set it up for that information to be leaked with the sole purpose to damage the Trump administration.

There's still been nothing found with respect to collusion between the Trump team and Russia. This whole other thing was merely to provide some smoke so their sympathizers in the media could shout "FIRE! FIRE!".

Hopefully Susan Rice was paid considerably less than the average male spy.

I happened to read an article about this on Engadget (which, for some reason, has decided they're qualified to write about anything other than the technology part of tech).

Comments were LOL hilarious with your typical SJW woman accusing detractors of "mansplaining" when it was pointed out the gap virtually disappears when controlled for all factors. Then you had the artful deflection to "well, we need more and longer paid maternity leave".

Yea, it's pretty funny to hear the uneducated and ignorant people try to defend flawed logic. The best part is people like Keith Ellison and other dumbass congress people (looking at you Warren) also try to push it as fact.

To be fair, it is a fact in Warren's office.

I can't help but recall the article in the WaPo where a writer said:
"What did Obama know and when did he know it? Answer: Not much and about a minute ago."

I have a feeling that this will be called into play before long.

I honestly doubt anything comes out of this. There are a lot of hypocrites in politics, but none more than the Obama sheep (I classify the media into the sheep group as well). They will do anything to protect his legacy. They are more concerned with treating him like a star and worrying about his "ranking" instead of knowing the truth.

Remember when truth mattered? Good times.
