I could see this if i trusted the government's vetting process. However, I don't.Commander of Awesome;1763855 wrote:Ah I see. And Obama is right on this. We should be more vigilant on screening the refugees but to disallow the people who are being oppressed by the very people we are fighting against would be stupid.Commander of Awesome;1763855 wrote:Ah I see. And I disagree. As stated above, I have no idea how anyone can trust the government's vetting process. Way too many examples of how inept the government is. Hell, we can't even keep out criminals from Mexico from coming in, yet we somehow expect government officials to vet out disguised refugees in a group of 10,000 people? Also, it already has been confirmed that a couple of the terrorists in France came in disguised as refugees. Do we need this shit to happen again, and even worse in our own country to learn our lesson?
Sorry if this is insensitive, but I am 100% behind keeping them out, and I am glad some states are already refusing entry. Now is not the time to worry about political correctness, especially when ISIS just threatened that the US is next.

Not sure how accruate this is, but sounds like Kaisch and others are just doing lip service on that. I've been seeing this posted several times on twitter:like_that;1763908 wrote:And I disagree. Didn't really look into the legality at it. Wouldn't surprise me that wherever you got that quote is true. I am still not even 100% sure what the exact plan is to do with 10k refugees other than they will have a "vetting" process. Does anybody truly know?Commander of Awesome;1763932 wrote:Not sure how accruate this is, but sounds like Kaisch and others are just doing lip service on that. Regardless, I am sticking with my stance that they shouldn't be allowed in the country. I hope I am very wrong about this being a threat, but I just have a bad feeling about it.

I have relatives in Germany who live in a small town and they are pissed about how the refugees are being handled. (Even before the tragedy in Paris) There were approximately 100 students in their high school. They brought in 300 new refugee students. They don't have enough classroom space for them and they don't speak German. It's a big mess.

Obama is out of bounds with his rhetoric. Its dangerous to what he is saying about fighting ISIS. He basically is telling the world that he isnt concerned with fighting ISIS. ISIS is going to ramp it up cause we arent doing anything

This is 100% correct. The legal status of those entering the county is a federal issue. Under article 1 section 8 clause 4 the rules are to be set by congress. The president executes them. However this has't stopped local governments from giving federal law the finger and setting up sanctuary cities for those in country in violation of federal law.Commander of Awesome;1763932 wrote:Not sure how accruate this is, but sounds like Kaisch and others are just doing lip service on that. Most of those vets are white. I don't think we need to be helping privileged people.

Terrorists have taken full advantage of moving with the refugees into European countries, same will happen here.

If the European countries are doing what Obama wants to do, and he's the enemy, then Europe is the enemy, too, right?QuakerOats;1764075 wrote:Terrorists have taken full advantage of moving with the refugees into European countries, same will happen here.

Longer than that. We got involved in 2014, but of course the FB experts prefer to spout nonsense rather than educate themselves on the topic.sleeper;1763981 wrote:You realize we've been bombing ISIS for almost 3 months now right?

What more would you like him to do? Boots on the ground is expensive and costly and we've seen how well that strategy worked in Iraq and Afghanistan.Spock;1764376 wrote:we arent doing shit. His rhetoric is out of bounds and empowering their cause by displaying weakness

Afghanistan is a shithole, and it is about as good as can be with a residual American force deployed there....a force that BHO wants to draw down more against the advice of his commanders.sleeper;1764387 wrote:What more would you like him to do? Iraq was a stable country right up until the time we withdrew our troops, again, against the advice of the commanders.
Geopolitics is a lot easier to understand when you accept that it is about power, and at least a credible threat and a credible determination to use it.
