Not sure how high this will go, but there's lots of smoke here. One might attempt to claim it was an "honest mistake" stemming from poor oversight, but when you look at some of the info they were seeking there was clearly a political motivation (even if that were to begin and end with a few "low level" employees).

I just don't see a career agent doing this without direction, stated or otherwise, from above.

I still say the culture and divisive rhetoric this administration - and other Dems and complicit media - have pushed encouraged this sort of behavior. It would not shock me that low level agents took it upon themselves and believed they were completely in the right to target the "financial taliban".

Fair or not, the buck stops with the POTUS. Always has. Although Obama, as often discussed, may be different. Benghazi and the IRS - these are direct results of how Obama has "led" by example.

It's interesting to me there's plenty of ways to justify siding with Obama - I actually think he is likely more culpable with Benghazi, but that's just "political".

Rats jumping off a sinking ship. They don't want to be remotely associated with the crap about to rain down on this administration - justified or not. This all will likely spill over into the 2014 elections, and it's going to be tough to defend the POTUS on this on the campaign trail.

LOL.

Leave it to Obie to fire the guy who wasn't even in charge when the offenses were committed.

He's all over this thing.

Embarrassing performance equalled only by Rep. Issa and his lapdog, Rep. Jordan.

Edit: Goes without saying, Rep. Jackson-Lee was her normal clown show.

Sounds like the latest strategy is to release the Benghazi emails and then deny that there's a there there.

"See, we released the emails, we have nothing to hide"
"But this proves you lied"
"No it doesn't, why would we release the emails if that were the case? duhhhh"

Agreed. Issa needs to dial it back a tad.

Maybe we need to go four separate threads:

IRS tyranny

AP spying

Benghazi horror

Obamacare disaster

Then leave this thread for all the other massive failures: debt/deficits, horrific unemployment, anti-growth policies, assaults on private enterprise, illegal recess appointments, marxist tendencies, and other general disgraces.

Simply beyond belief:

The director of the Office of Rulings and Agreements, which oversees the determinatons of tax-exempt organizations, is a donor to Barack Obama. Holly Paz donated $2,000 to Obama’s 2008 campaign, according to Open Secrets, which maintains a database of individual political donations.
An inspector general’s report released yesterday concluded that the IRS improperly targeted Tea Party and other conservative groups for undue scrutiny, and Paz heads the office in which the wrongdoing is said to have occurred. National Review Online reported earlier today that agency officials are currently copying the hard drives of every employee on Paz’s watch. That data will be made available to investigators working on a second IG investigation focusing on the potential criminal activity individual agency employees.

LOL. I had not thought of this angle. But it is actually quite true. Oh the irony.

So, is Obama the quickest lame duck President ever? Not even half way through the first year of his second term. Unless the Dems miraculously take back control of the House, don't expect very much to happen with Obama's second term.

Yeah, seems like it.
But, he still has sway in the foreign policy realm. So, I expect him to dive into that more in the coming months to next year.
Expect more with Syria, Russia, Iran, the Middle East, etc.
That is where he has way more power and areas to do what he wants.

Don't hold your breath. That presumes he has an ounce of leadership ability. This is normally where the community agitator would pack it up and move on to the next hood.

The White House has alot of idle time on its hands apparently.

Look at this juvenile response to an Eric Cantor tweet asking for 3 word responses on how people feel about Obamacare after the House voted to repeal it again.

Liberals are patting themselves on the back for Obama supposedly laying a smackdown on Cantor.
