Fair point. I usually just bank on the fact that no one really cares enough to poke around and dig up a salary schedule.

I agree, any one of my friends/family that cared to google 'chemical engineer with 10+ years of experience' could get a good estimate what I make.

It's not as regimented as the big law firms lawyer salary schedules, but it's not that hard to find.

It's fishy but also realize the big salary folks are going to be the main players and the lower salary guys aren't as likely to flaunt around here.

I knew the salaries would be high as most on here are around or in the bigger cities and of course the average ACT score of 32.

We couldn't even get a work visa unless we made at least S$100,000 (about US$80,000) so obviously we're above the US$100K mark...that said it isn't easy to pinpoint our complete comp with our benefits - the housing allowance is easy to quantify, our "pension" and healthcare plan not so much. I don't understand how some countries can control their borders but the U.S. can't (we can't even get a cell phone or rent an apartment without our work visas), but that's probably a comment for the politics board.
