More taxes plus less income? ouch!

How much do you think you will make this year? (See private poll)

This number is for HOUSEHOLD.

Around 300k+, still looking for the free phone. I thought it was the harder you work, the more you get. I "want" a phone.

My girlfriend and I make right around the 125-150k range. What's funny is a couple friends and I had a conversation about the Columbus average income. They were renting an apartment in Italian Village in Columbus. They were complaing they had no money because they each paid $800 a month for rent. Their combined income was about 115k a year. When we saw the average in Columbus was only like 39k they couldn't believe families could exist on it.

I voted, even though I live in Wisconsin. I wanted to make sure we could get at least 50% over the 100k mark here on the OC.

I voted, but it was more of a guess. My wife is a substitute teacher and it seems to me she only works when she feels like it.

If I close my business, earned only $15000.00 per year under the SS anount, collected SS, plus my other retirement I would be making little over $55,000 per year tax free .. (this does not include my wife income)

I keep asking myself why i keep working.... with that $55,000 and what i could do as a cash income only hobby $75,000 eazy NO TAX Hell I don't need more than that ....

I voted in the middle category. Not considering fiance's part-time income.

Sorry for bringing down the average.

BigLaw firms have standard salary schedules, so my salary info and bonus range is all available online for anyone who care to look, which makes keeping it secret kind of silly.
