Also, Applie Pie is usually made with cider and apple juice, so I doubt you are seeing any bits.

Correct 1/2 gal apple juice, 1/2 gal cider, cinn sticks, white and brown sugar, 153 prf grain.

There's no bits in it, some sediment from the cinn sticks but that's it.

Probably what I saw, either sediment that hadn't settled or maybe some foam/bubbles.

Just kind of caught up on some of this seasons episodes.

Is Jim Tom not completely amazing? I crack up listening to the guy. He also consumes what seems to be an inordinate amount of moonshine when they are getting their batches together.

There some good video of him on YouTube, documentary types. Moonshiners portrays him being almost retarded, but he actually seems pretty darn smart. He is 100% hillbilly though. I like him.

I've only seen the episode where they race. Clearly too scripted, but I'm interested to see where the whole Hatfield/McCoy commercial moonshine goes.

The moonshine combo is marketing genius. "Moonshiners" has created all kinds of buzz, to the point I think there are a number of products in the market now with more to come. And from a branding perspective, Hatfield/McCoy is gold.

Although I haven't heard much more about Tim going legit. Maybe he's under NDA because of the tv show, but you would think at this point he would have no trouble getting funding.
