sad but true. There are a lot of people who would support libertarian ideals within the Republican party if they would just work within the partry structure and be team players. You have to give up some things to get some things, but they won't compromise or tone down some of their extreme views on monetary policy and foreign policy such that they can get mainstream support.

The GOP party structure is filled with radical viewpoints in regards to religion, militarism, the economy, and other views. There really isn't a compromise to be had. A similar disparity in worldview is to be had with the Democrats.

Even if Roe was overturned (don't worry your pretty little head, it won't) abortion would still be legal, it would just be up to the states to decide the limits. The DEMS have effectively got folks from the short bus to make this an issue. Is it about gay marriage (which no one gives a rat's butt about)? Funny how Obama was just as radical a few years ago. This administration has made fools out of its supporters, and continues to make them foolish.

The economy (which people should be giving a rat's butt about)? Is it about not wasting hundreds of billions of dollars to satisfy unions and other in your base while simultaneously flushing it down the toilet, again call me a radical. Is it about having no plan whatsoever for the stimulus (and putting it the hands of a buffoon like Biden to oversee) and about not listening to your crack team of advisors that subsequently resigned, again call me a radical.

There is no defense for this incompetent administration, and the idea that Biden might run in '16 goes to show how crazy he is. If Obama died tomorrow Biden would never become POTUS - no way he would ever be sworn in. He fooled a lot of people for years until he actually became a national public figure and not some Senator from a state no one cares about. He's an empty figurehead drawing a federal salary and retirement.

This conversation reminds me when my wife and I were planning for our wedding - as I told her then (and think it is analogous now): What do you want, but bear in mind we might not be able to get everything we want (due to expense or other), but what is more important is what you don't want - don't want the chicken dance or cake smushing? Well that we can take care of.

Perhaps Romney isn't bringing the fairy tale wedding that every boy dreams of (to quote Andy Bernard from the Office), but Obama is the chicken dance.

IMO Obama will be a miserable failure in his second term. Really our country hasn't had that much awful stuff happen the last 4 years, Bush saw the world economy collapse, some horrible natural disasters and 9/11. I'm not too sure this lucky streak will continue and I think something will go bad and he will fail. I mean the rest of the world according to studies already believe we have weakened

If Gary Johnson and the other also-rans were "all that and a bag of chips" some make them out to be they might have managed to amount to more than white noise in the primaries.

They suck, too, some just think they suck less than the vast majority of voters.
