I personally don't really use it for anything that significant. I might post a random picture or status occasionally, but I don't use it on a daily basis.
The drama that comes with it can be entertaining, though.

I do find it hysterical all those that rip Social Media and spend hours upon hours on a damn Message Board lol. Being on here is literally as retarded and juvenile as being on FaceBook or Twitter. In fact, I could easily make a case this is even dumber and bigger waste of time.
Wait wait, this is serious business.

More active than passive. I agree gmail and gchat are better ways to stay actively connected, sometimes people want to stay passively connected though.

How about when people make some vague status about being in the midst of some sort of perilous situation and then get people to comment "are you ok?", "what's wrong girl, do you need me to call someone?".

I saw one of these from sometime early this morning/middle of night. It involved the poster saying she may need to call 911. Like if it's something so serious you may contemplating 911, are you sure you need to be on Facebook right now?

But then that person will be the same who posts some pre-made, anti-drama thing on their wall later that day. Next time someone does that I'm going to call 911 and give them the person's name and info like I'm really concerned this person may be in some trouble.

I have a buddy who will post stuff like that. I've called him before to see if he was ok, and he said "yeah man, I'm just trying to get laid." lofl

I ran into a guy last weekend, and told him to stop being a pussy on FB. He's always trying to get a piece (he's a loser), and always putting passive aggressive stuff on there. "I'm done with you! Why won't someone love me!" blah, blah, blah. I told him, "If you want to get laid, stop that shit."

It's funny because Chris Rock said it like 15 years ago in his standup routine. ;)

I just use fb to post pictures of my kid and show other people how awesome my life is. I thought that was the whole point, right?
