Pablo is a better player when he is fat.

Also, AL is definitely better than the NL top to bottom.

TEAM San Francisco is getting it done!

Pablo going for his 4th HR!

Blanco great great defense. Crawford good defense. Zito and Lincecum stepping up.

That doesn't make them a "better league". They may be a more offensive league, or a league who has won more games, but that doesn't make them a better league! Any league that doesn't let the pitchers bat, and have the resultant high strategy of having them bunt, hit away, or be taken off the mound when they are doing well, can't hold a candle to a league that plays the game of real baseball.

I wanna say that the Giants will win, but the fact that Verlander could possibly throw three times makes me wonder....
I think the Tiger strategy going in to the series was to start Verlander on full rest in game 5, and then relief in game 7 on two days rest if it gets to that situation.

But should they have taken him out tonight at about 60 pitches as soon as the score went to 4-0, and have him more rested in case they are down 3-0 or 2-1 when they get to game 4, and want to start him on 3 days rest, and then do the same for game 7 if it gets that far? Verlander's concentration was already shot, and the chances his pitching from that point would be key to a Tiger win were virtually nil.

Tigers come out flat having to fly across country on short rest, after not playing for a week. JV was the only thing going for them in this game, and even he didnt have it tonight.

Also, I love that Papa Douche Fuck is getting pummeled and crying like a bitch in the dugout. That guy is one of the biggest POS in baseball.

Valverde still bad! Faces 5 batters, 4 hits, 2 runs. Only out he got was the pitcher who had some good swings also.

FWIW Aaron Boone said on twitter that his antics were crazy but he was a great teammate.

Love how Lincecum and Zito were guaranteed no starts or pitching this postseason but didn't whine or cry...just pitched lights out when called upon.

Zito is their good luck charm.

I think the stat was they have now won like 15 of his starts in a row, and many of them he hasn't even pitched that well outside of his game 5 start last series he was lights out in.

In that Reds series in game 4 he made it all of 2-2/3 innings.

The Tigers are now done. Psychologically I don't see how they win this series with Verlander now looking very human.

He also has to get it together as this is the 2nd World Series game one start in a row he has gotten pummeled.

I don't like agreeing with classy poster because to put it nicely mostly misinformed, however you can't argue against quantitative data. The AL has had the better record against the NL for over 10 years now.

If you are determining who is better based on the world series (one series) and the AS game, excuse me while I LMAO.

While the AL may better, going back 10 years is dumb IMO. That eliminates 80% of current rosters even contributing. Id like to know the last 5 years. Quick someone else google this for me, im busy!

If they have had the better record the last 10 years, then they would also have the better record in the last 5 years lol.

I think it is all relative. I am guessing that the AL is generally better, but they also have the higher payrolls...at least it seems like it.

I thought he meant overall the record was better and not in each of the last 10 years. My B.

Fielder with a Votto-like slide with his leg bent under, and his lead leg up in the air. This really slows down the time it takes to contact the plate and the Tigers paid for it by losing at least one run, and maybe a big inning.
