...would you go up to them and ask for an autograph and/or a picture?


Yesterday at the Dallas airport I saw a lady coming down the terminal that looked familiar. When she got closer it was apparent that it was Danielle from the show American Pickers.

Didnt say anything. Then at my terminal a guy walks up looking like Frank from the show. Didnt know he was that short, was kinda hobbling, walking with a hunch, and then when he spoke ya could tell it was him.

Some lady said "what tv shoe are you from again" when he walked by and he said "man vs food". So obviously he didnt really wanna talk.

No one really bother him a bit... I was standing by him for about 10 mins in the terminal and was wondering if he was flying to Ft Wayne. Do not think he got on our plane, just think he was there trying to watch the Pats/Jets game.
We talked briefly, said something like 'sorry, I am outta it, been trying to get home to see family and havent slept much' and when I told him i understood and I spent the night prior sleeping on the floor of an airport he kinda opened up and asked if I wanted to get a pic with him.

I know...cool story bro.

DIdnt see that danielle again. SHe is hit or miss for me.....

The only thing I have ever done is just said "hi" while walking past.

I saw Ann Coulter walking down the street, took all I could muster not to say something to her. Total bitch.

I've also seen Tony Reali walking down the street, didn't say anything to him either. Didn't feel the need to.

Numerous athletes, including driving next to Cribbs down Pearl Rd, we talked at about 3 or 4 lights. Class Act. He also signed my Browns road sign for me back when he was living in the same apt complex as a family friend back when he was a rookie.

Ran into Nick Eason at Waffle House off of 71 the yr after we cut him and he joined the Steelers. He was there eating with a female and I interrupted thei meal to say hi. He was very nice and I think genuinely surprised someone recognized him (and I think he liked that in front of the girl). He asked me if I wanted his autograph or picture and I said, "No I don't collect Steeler autographs". The girl laughed pretty hard at that. Then I announced to the waffle house that a steeler player was there. Most of the room booed lol.

Most celebs I wouldn't bother. If it was a smoking hot chic like Olivia Wilde I'd probably go flirt and just praying I win the lottery.

I did some plumbing work for a guy that was on a few sitcoms a long time ago. We were talking one day and got talking about the buckeyes and from then on he would invite me to over to watch the game with him and his friends. I went a few times it was quite the time and got to meet a few other famous people. He moved away a few years back but he still calls once in awhile to ask questions about his new house and issues he has with the plumbing.

I've seen quite a few UFC fighters out in public. Most know the big "stars", but the lesser known fighters are just as excited sometimes that someone recognized them as a hardcore fan is seeing them in public.

I've probably met and talked to about 20+ UFC fighters, only about 4 or 5 of which most casual fans would know like Rich Franklin, Anderson Silva, Frankie Edgar, Dana White (I know, not a fighter), and so on.

I saw Rich Franklin at the large AMC theater in Easton Mall in Columbus and saw him a 2nd time in the Atlanta Airport. He was with his wife at the airport and Jorge Gurgel at the theater.

His wife was cool, asked her what she initially thought when her HS math teacher husband told her he was going to fight for a living. We were all waiting on the same connection flight.

I'm friends with 2 nfl players does that count? Lol. But seriously I've met Charles Woodson a bunch of times considering he is from Fremont. He's a complete douche. Ran track vs Dane sazenbacher he's a pretty nice guy. Met jalen rose when I was in NYC and when I went to Carlos bakery in Hoboken I saw the big guy and buddy's sister from cake boss. Also met Eric kynard (silver medalists in high jump in the olympics) at a track meet.

Well I went to Ohio State, so I was naturally around leaders both on and off the field.

I was hanging out with this chick who was banging Greg Oden on the regular, so I've met Greg a few times. He's a very shy guy.

Don't do it, that is a lame move. I have seen dozens of celebrities in New York, but have only felt compelled to shake hands with one (Will Smith). I also (literally, no lie) knocked over Dustin Hoffman at a bar in the Upper West Side. I was drunk, took a step back and floored the dude haha. He was really cool, I helped him up, and he continued on his way (it was the night that Aaron Boone homered to beat the Red Sox, the bars were slammed that night and Hoffman had a room reserved there).

My wife has a crush on Paul Rudd, and we saw him about a month ago on my block, but she chickened out and didn't say anything haha. She can have a hall pass if I can have one with Bar Rafaeli

tOSU graduate so I've crossed paths with a few football players (namely Maurice Wells, saw him a bunch of times on campus, and GOAT Nick Mangold). Only other notable celebrity I've seen out is Clinton Kelly from "What not to wear" in Manhattan. He seemed in a hurry so we didn't bother him

I've seen a few here and there, but never said anything or asked for an autograph.

I did see John Slattery aka Roger Sterling over the summer. He was pushing a bike and across the street. I felt compelled to say whats up, but didn't.....dude is the man and my fav character from Mad Men.

It's OK to come up and talk to us. We don't mind.

Met Darren McFadden at LAX. We say down in the terminal across from him. I couldn't figure out who he was. He then asked us how old our baby was and then introduced himself. He was very nice. I still have no idea why we didn't get a picture with him. He also spoke very highly of Pryor, which I though was interesting.

I took a class with Terrelle Pryor. He was a moron. He later turned out to be an even bigger moron than I'd gathered simply by going to class.

oh, and I took a math class with three huge guys. I went home and stalked the OSU football site and discovered it was a freshman: Mike Adams.

The other two clowns I couldn't ID.

They were all drunk.

It was an 8:30am class.

I've met a few. Never really did ask for an autograph or picture. I did have a class with Nate Washington at Tiffin when he was a senior and I was a freshmen. I did get a picture with him the year the Steelers won the super bowl when he came back for a homecoming game.

I also got to meet and hangout with a few OSU players in 2007-2008 because my GF's roommate at that time was always hanging out with them. I actually walked in on Alex Boone fucking the shit out of her doggy style once. He was always a pretty cool dude to talk with. POS sold me some bad weed though.

Pissed right beside Forrest Griffin in Lafayette. He was in the corner for the guy my buddy fought (and beat) that night.

It totally depends on the level of celebrity. Most of the time I'd probably just say "Hi, love your (work/show)" and be on my way. But I'd want a picture with a big time celebrity. Like a Denzel or DeNiro, or Tom Hanks.

I ran into "Chopper" from that show "King of Cars" on A&E in the Detroit airport. He was walking around with the dude who played the Blue Genie. I just kinda looked at them and nodded. I wouldn't really call them celebrities though.

My dad and I ran into Julius Erving at Universal Studios in Florida a few years ago. He was on his phone, while he walked past us. I just remember going "hey, that guy is kinda tall". Next thing I know, my dad is hauling ass the other way going "Doc!...Doc!..Hey Doc!" I'm like wtf is wrong with you? He just wanted to say hi. I've never seen my dad so excited in my life.

Usually people are coming up to me asking for my autograph.

About 15 years ago my wife, young toddler daughter and I were shopping in the City Center in Columbus and I look back and see this sculpture of a man...a second look determined it was Eddie George. He was pushing a stroller and was with another Houston Oiler player. He followed our stroller into the Baby Gap and stayed in there the duration with us and checked out right in front of us.

What was unbelievable was that he was just finishing his ROY campaign with the Oilers and was just a little over a year removed from being the Heisman hero for THE OSU.....during that whole time not one single person even acknowledged him....I'm not sure anyone other than me even recognized who he was.


Ran into former all-star Jeff Shaw numerous times as our daughter's competed in basketball and his daughter and son have gone against my track and XC teams multiple times....real good guy that acts just like the rest of us. Stood out in the cafeteria and watched an OSU game with him during our halftime.

Byron Mullens is always around town and local sporting events....usually just a passing "how's it going"

Quite a few, actually:

Sat in front of the NYY Suite in Tampa in 1999 Final Four. Invited my cousin (who they knew...his dad is Mike Lupica) and I into the suite and we ate KFC with them. Jeter, Posada, Rivera, David Wells, Tino Martinez, Paul O'Neil and Sinbad (lol...yes Sinbad)

Took a picture with Jerry Rice at the Stanford public park. I was there for a tennis camp and he was jogging in the off-season. Ive since lost the picture. It was terrible quality anyway. Same trip I met Steve Jobs and Steve Young who lived in my "Aunts" neighborhood in Palo Alto. My "Aunt" is somehow related to my mom, though not actually her aunt.

Met Charles Barkley but was too hammered to get a picture down in Auburn. Bragged about it, then realized my GF and her family actually know each other by name. I was put to shame lol. He is in their Christmas Card from last year.

Met hundreds of Indians players and opposing players since 1997. My dads best friend is Bobby DiBiasio.

Got smashed with Peyton Manning and Ryan Gosling this year at the Super Bowl festivities downtown. Peyton was just there, not drinking much. Gosling is an animal though. Also been hammered with Mark Cuban numerous times in Bloomington when he comes back to IU (Usually when Dallas is playing in Indy).

Saw Jamele Hill (SP) in the Detroit airport a few months ago. Would never talk to her, she sucks. But I did steal her fries when her order came. She could stand to lose a few lbs anyway.

Tons of Indiana players (of note: Eric Gordon, DJ White, Cody Zeller and Tracy Porter)

Lots of tennis players down in Miami during the NASDAQ 100 (stayed on Key Biscayne, where the tourney is held) I did get to hit with Martina Hinges who was on the court next to my dad and I, which was awesome. Chick was a baller.

Go to the Final Four and its a whos who of college basketball and the NBA. Played pick-up with Doc Rivers and his son Austin. Austin was so young, still about as good as anyone there at his age.

Generally no I won't ask for a picture. I'll say "hi" though and talk if they don't seem in a hurry. Only tv/famous people I've met though are Bas Rutten, Rampage Jackson, Don Frye, Bruce Buffer, Luke Perry, and Olivia Munn.

Saw Joshua Jackson from The Mighty Ducks and Dawson's Creek in the pool at Caesar's Palace in Vegas a few years back. As soon as I saw him I screamed "Charlie! Charlie Conway!" He had video cameras all around him as he was in the middle of shooting a scene for some movie. I have no idea why the pool was open to the public and whether the movie was a thriller or not, but once I realized I was on set, the half-bottle of vodka and oodles of other things in my central nervous system convinced me that I should make a JAWS type of appearance and swim toward him with my hands over my head in the shape of a dorsal fin.

By the time I swam the 30 yards to get to him, the cameras had stopped rolling and I was being pulled out of the water by two security cops. They asked me if I had been drinking and who I was. I replied that I hadn't had anything to drink and that I was Bruce the Shark, from Finding Nemo, and I was just swimming over to eat Josh Jackson. Charlie laughed and politely waved when I shared that Pacey Witter was a boss. My friends and I were kicked out of Ceasar's. (We were staying in Planet Hollywood so it didn't matter anyway.)

So yes.

Also used to see Bob Evans on the University of Rio Grande campus a few times a year....never bothered to speak but was pretty cool.....he was essentially Colonel Sanders plus 40 lbs

I don't say anything typically. I don't get awestruck.

One time I did, I saw Brian Grant at Port O' Columbus. It was right after his diagnosis of Parkinson's was revealed. My granddad died of it and I just felt like encouraging him to beat it. That disease sucks. Keep fighting.
