Hope you're right. But Miller is only part of the team. If OSU plans to beat Penn State they need to find some answers on defense and special teams.Fly4Fun;1301979 wrote:I disagree. This hit was a complete anomaly. It wasn't really a "hit" but more of a whipping to the ground. Miller has taken hits and been targeted before (think the MSU game when one MSU player knocked out Gholston).
I don't think this will make Miller tentative. Miller isn't exactly a small guy, and this was just a weird whip type situation to the ground.

I think Penn St. is a team like MSU that OSU matches up well with defensively. The teams that give us trouble are the ones that use the short passing/screen game, because only one of our LB's is fast enough to cover it. We'll see what happens though, I'm not really confident OSU pulls this out.believer;1302053 wrote:Hope you're right. But Miller is only part of the team. O'Brian uses his tight ends very well. He also loves to sneak the fb out in the flats. Robinson is the main threat for penn st on the outside and mcgloin has done s very good job of holding onto the ball this year

Agree. If the don't get their heads out of their asses it could be over by the end of the first quarter.Fly4Fun;1302008 wrote:This game will most likely start off ugly for OSU as normal. OSU is seemingly one of the worst 1st quarter teams (compared to what they are capable of) as opposed to PSU which has been particularly great in the 1st quarter.
I'm hoping that OSU can buck the trend.

It sounds like a lot of people on here have it out for Miller. Calling him a pussy and shit like that. So he got hurt or cried or whatever happened. That doesn't make him a pussy one bit. I have never seen a 8-0 team criticized so much. I guarantee none of you had this team 8-0.

Or Miller having the numbers he's had and even IN the Heisman discussion. I sure as hell didn't see any of this coming.Tiger2003;1302434 wrote:It sounds like a lot of people on here have it out for Miller. Calling him a pussy and shit like that. "We understand we can do something special here and we only have five games left now,” senior quarterback Matt McGloin said. “Guys understand that. We’re done at the end of November instead of playing for the Big Ten championship or bowl game. I only have five games left and chances to put the helmet on. I understand that and everyone else does."
As far as the criticism is concerned, I hear what you're saying, but you have to admit that this is easily the most inept 8-0 Ohio State team to come along in a long, long time.

Eh, a lot of people before the season began were thinking Urban Meyer would have this team right where it is at this point in the season.Tiger2003;1302434 wrote:I have never seen a 8-0 team criticized so much. I guarantee none of you had this team 8-0.

Wrong. I've said all along this team was very capable of going 12 - 0, especially with the OOC schedule and talent in the B1G. Wisky and scUM are really the last two hurdles for that happening and they both will be underdogs by at least -4 when the Bucks play them.Tiger2003;1302434 wrote:... I did as well, getting beat to MSU & Wisky. Moving forward, though, this weekend worries me more than the game on 11/17.Pick6;1302753 wrote:I tried to search for the thread with predictions, but there is too much to look through.

I expected 2-3 losses as well. MSU and Wisky or Nebraska. I thought and still do think, UM is a lock. I just have that gut feeling that they will get it done at home.Pick6;1302753 wrote:I tried to search for the thread with predictions, but there is too much to look through.

Freshman year I stumbled upon the opportunity to go to Happy Valley with a ticket and a bus ride with a bunch of other students for only $70. It was one of my favorite nights of college. I painted my chest while they did a whiteout and Boeckman did a great job of silencing the enemy. That stadium is AWESOME though, especially in a nighttime whiteout.Automatik;1300889 wrote:

False. I placed a $50 bet on 3-1 odds before the year with my buddy we'd go undefeated so yeah, I had them at 8-0.Tiger2003;1302434 wrote: I guarantee none of you had this team 8-0.

A lock? Outside of the RR era (shudder), when has the UM/OSU game been a lock for either team?Automatik;1302808 wrote:I expected 2-3 losses as well. MSU and Wisky or Nebraska. I thought and still do think, UM is a lock. I just have that gut feeling that they will get it done at home.
