Hell Yeah!!!!!
I for one haven't listened to 97.1 since they fired him. I will never go back to that station. I will listen to his show in Cleveland for sure and can not wait for his podcast. I will gladly pay $3 a month to help him out until he finds a full time gig.

My buddy was saying that the torg had said he couldn't work in Ohio. It was part of his contract with 97.1 or his firing. Not sure. Anyone know anything? Obviously he's working starting Saturday, but just wondering if anyone else had heard that!?

He has a no-compete clause for the Columbus market.

Was it something he agreed to before the firing? I'd think it would be terminated along with his employment, unless he signed it prior.

Torg is on 92.3 right now. The first 1 hour and a half was largely devoted to talk about the Browns and Shurmur though.

Would it be something included in his contract with the station or a separate agreement? I'd understand it if you were leaving on your own accord, but given that the flagship station decided to terminate him, not even the affiliate, he'd have the option to go elsewhere. Who knows. Azu you usually sign a no compete when your hired. I know I did when I was hired a few years ago.

Non-competes tend not to depend on whether someone quits or is terminated.
