When IU defends and shoots like this, they are unbeatable.

I would agree with this. The Hoosiers are unquestionably the best team in the country when they are burying the three ball. They just have so many weapons from out there.

Several weeks in and I feel good about my top 5 predictions. Severely underestimated Illinois (although everyone did). Michigan State and Minnesota might swap, particularly if I was doing a "right now" power ranking, but Izzo seemingly always does this in the non-conference and then figures it out by the time conference play rolls around.

I saw that yesterday. Pretty good. I was not expecting the radio call from Fischer at all.

And the returning players have all upped their game. Hardaway is legit now, and Morgan looks great. Adding Horford back in is huge.

The thing that will make the difference for this team is depth. This team has serious depth.

I don't hesitate to say this is the most talent in AA since the Fab 5.
No. They actually have no depth. Seriously they've only got about 6 guys that Beilein will want to use in big games. Luckily they're slow pace(they're 327th in tempo) should allow all of their players to play 35 minutes a night. You can't win a title doing that though, OSU in 2010 tried it and failed

Right now I'd say it's..

1. Indiana
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan
4. Minnesota
5. Illinois
6. Michigan State
7. Iowa
8. Wisconsin
9. Purdue
10. Northwestern
12. Penn State and Nebraska

Read MGoBlog much?

They have more depth than previous seasons. I don't cringe when most of the guys come in off the bench. Switch OSU and Michigan. Nothing I've see so far shows me OSU is better than Michigan.

I agree with this. If Thomas has an off night Ohio st is screwed. They need that 2nd option and there struggling to find it. I think Michigan is better also

Is this a joke? Against your one quality opponent, NC State, you had 6 scorers. Ohio State had 8 scorers against Duke and all had at least double digit minutes. Maybe UM has quality depth against Oakland but to say they're deep is a total lie

It's not unusual 7-10 games into the season after a couple quality opponents to find your "normal" rotation, and some guys with early playing time find themselves deeper on the bench. Happens to pretty much every team. 6 might be the core group, but they can go 8 deep pretty easy and win games. Couldn't say that the last few years, for sure. And most of them are only getting better. Though Stauskas at some point has to cool off a bit.

So depth is only measure by scoring. Got it. Here I though there were other elements to the game.

No? I compared they're depth against a good team where they couldn't put their bench in at half to when OSU played Duke, who if you were wondering is a good team

:laugh:They didn't do anything else out there either. But yeah when you're 7th or 8th guy can add 6 points that usually shows they're a quality player

I see. So Duke only had 6 scorers against OSU and won. Michigan had 6 scorers against NC State and won. Yes, I am really worried! Maybe if Michigan would have had 2 guys score 4 points and 1 score 5 against NC State like OSU did against Duke, they would blown them out!

Haha, just stop dude.

Also, you're comprehension ability sucks. I am comparing Michigan's depth this year to previous Michigan teams. Previously, the starting 5 struggled to get it done and really had 0 coming off the bench. Now, they have a solid 5 with 2 or 3 that can come in without fucking the team over. I never compared Michigan to any other team.

Hope I'm clear on that.

Well you're the one who brought up how deep Michigan is and clearly it's far from the truth. Are you honestly telling me in a tight game in Lansing you would count on anyone other than the starters and McGary?
