Working from home one day per week = awesome. Most people who do more than that will tell you it's a challenge to stay productive, it gets "lonely" in isolation, and you feel constant pressure to justify that you are not screwing off.

It certainly works for some, but it is not for everyone. I think some people need that transition and change of environment. I remember one job where I had a really short commute, like 5-10 minutes, and it was actually too short because I find it helps me decompress and transition from my job to my private life.

Jobs are opening up for me. There'll be more two weeks from now.

So far, I've sent out three applications -- New York, Alabama, and Pennsylvania are potential destinations...we'll see what happens. I never hold my breath. If I could stay in Ohio, it'd be great. It's also rather early, so I am not too concerned.

Depends...in my experience it costs more than it's worth. I was fishing once and caught a large crustacean from the paleolithic area. It just asked me for a favor. Said it needed about tree fiddy. I said goddamnit loch ness monster, I ain't givin you no tree fiddy!

For what its worth, good friend of mine from college graduated and took a corp job. Worked there 6 months and hated it. Said fuck it, and moved to the Cayman Islands where he was a scuba diver instructor. He now lives somewhere in the south pacific and loves what he does. Doubt he's rolling in it though.

Where at in Alabama? Lol. Hopefully you'll find a new job soon at least you got some time!

Yeah, but would you need to be rolling in it while living on a tropical island? As long as you're making enough to support yourself and save a little for the future.

I hung up the keys to my expediting truck. Now I am selling cars at Yark in Toledo. I enjoy it. The expenses of trucking were killing me. Namely repairs. Starting out in car sales is tough tho trying to build a customer base for future repeat business. Anyone need a vehicle???
