Reds won the season series 6-5 if you count this series.

Not worried about season ball. I am talking about when push comes to shove I would have taken the Giants every time. I am actually surprised the series went 5 tbh.

Huh? The Reds were leading the series 2-0 before an epic collapse? Haha

Really? Because when it actually mattered in october (as opposed to the dog days of summer) the right team won.

haha, I am well aware. I was surprised they took the 2-0 lead. Not sure what is so confusing about that. I had the Giants taking the series in 4 games at the most, but they played like crap the first two games. They bounced back. Good playoff teams take care of the overrated playoff teams, and they did.

Not really that epic or surprising considering Dusty's history.

No you were talking about a 100 game series.

They played 162 games and almost won the NL pennant? How were they a fluke?

If you were calling the Giants to win this series, I hope you placed some bets because you would have won a lot of money

Just providing an analogy to explain how much better I thought the Giants were.

Giants would have probably had the same amount of wins playing in the central. I think Washington gets 100 wins this season in the central.

Another reason why I didn't think the reds were going anywhere in the playoffs.

Well aware, besides the cards the NL central is pretty weak.

Milwaukee won 83 games and was in the wild card hunt up until the final week of the season but ok

Pretty shitty team until the last month. Not really impressed. Would take the other 2 divisions any day of the week over the central.

This was the year to win it all the NL is weak as shit and Texas was suppose to be the best and they barely made the playoffs.
You can't leave 42 people on base in 5 games and expect to win. A disappointment indeed. I listened on the radio so I didn't see the balls or strikes but regardless Hanigan needs to swing. Also you don't leave the likely ROY on the bench for a gentleman.
Game 3 was sad, we rolled over in 4 and it bit us in 5.
Oh well...

The Reds really were the better team IMO...assuming Cueto didnt get hurt,I'd take the Reds rotation over SF's, I'll take our defense over theirs and offensive wise, Sandavol and Posey are really their main threats, and sometimes Pence. So they have 3 position players who are probably better than the Reds, first 2 games of the series the Reds showed it, after the game 3 episode, the wheels fell offf from Dusty's strategizing to our lack of clutch hits. And I would take the Reds bullpen over SFs

You can blame Dusty all you want but SF came to play and you didn't. Can't win one of 3 home games and you deserve to be eliminated. Have fun this winter:cool:

That's why they lost is because of trying to win game 3 instead of playing certain guys in case you play game 4....whatever, you play to win so do whatever you can to win the game 3 so you don't leave SF haging around and giving them life, and they did. But it's over now so it doesnt matter, but just saying that if you play to get to tomorrow instead of just trying to win today, more times than not it's going to come back and bite you.
