Belmont up 17 at half on OU. Not especially surprised, the Bobcats have struggled against every decent team they've played this year (9+ point losses to Akron, UMass, Oklahoma, and Memphis). I think they'll make a little run in the 2nd half, but in my opinion they've underachieved on the season.

Rutgers and Providence are both below average teams. I would have been better off eating my money.
And I think it's about time Ed Cooley finally finds a barber who has read the directions for scissors. I am tired of looking at his head. Why ESPN feels the need to constantly zoom in on his disease every game is beyond me.

UK winning tonight was a given. Still time left, but I feel like getting up from my chair, walking to my window and falling out.

no doubt. live by the 3, die by the 3. they got hot last year at the right time. we will see if they can do it again to finish the season (hopefully not)Mulva;1395022 wrote:Belmont up 17 at half on OU. I gotta pull out all the stops, so if jinxing UK is what it takes, then sorry.
But I never felt good about my Mizzou pick, yet I still did it because I am a big idiot.

UK still isn't a very good team.
They played a bit over their heads tonight.
Having Julius Mays' experience really helps though.
Poythress, Goodwin and Harrow actually gave some effort, but how much do they miss Noel's defensive presence and rebounding? Mizzou has abused them inside and around the rim.

Yeah, I think Missouri is destined for another first round loss in the tournament. Somebody predicted that in the prediction thread and it is spot on. Frank Haith cannot coach. He will be fired in the next two or three years.

Julius Mays, clueless there.
4 on 3 break, 4 seconds left about 60-feet from the goal and he settles for a 40-footer...

Guess what? Archie Goodwin out of control. The guy is crazy...he wows you about 1 every 4 times, the other 3 generally end bad.

Seven turnovers is never gonna get it done. I don't care what you contribute point-wise, you've lost it all on the other end.Azubuike24;1395049 wrote:Guess what? Archie Goodwin out of control. The guy is crazy...he wows you about 1 every 4 times, the other 3 generally end bad.

That should be an intentional foul as well...

Kentucky gets into the tournament with this win. No doubt about it. Big win for the Cats.

Still need to beat Mississippi State and be respectable in the SEC tourney, IMO.

Gotta beat MSU, win either UGA or ARK on the road and then win 1 in the SEC Tournament. That gets them to 13 conference wins...I can't see that being left out.

I guess I should have added the "barring a complete collapse" caveat. I think UK is in great shape now, though.
MSU and Georgia are obviously game that should be won.

Meh. 3-2 on the day because I pussed out on Wichita St and UK.
I think UK still has work to do. They can't afford to finish 0-3 (@ Arkansas, @ Georgia, and Florida). Take care of business against Miss St and win 1 of those 3 and they're probably looking alright.

I was really looking forward to this game. Disappointing Bobcats.
