78% from the field and from 3. Not too shabby.

I'm not watching the game, doing some work before the OSU game so just following this on the computer. I just pulled up the box score. Apparently Arkansas can't miss and Florida can't hit.

Of course, just after I type that, Florida starts to pull it back. Arkansas only up 13 with 3:52 to play.

Mike Anderson has 2 wins away from Bud Walton Arena since November of last year. 2 wins. The Hogs have played some tough OOC games, but c'mon. At Bud Walton though, they are really tough. Always have been regardless of the team.

Haha, the more money we take the better. I'm sure by the end of the week all gains will be gone...

Wichita State fell to Southern Illinois tonight. 3rd straight conference loss for the Shockers.

I think they've pretty safely locked themselves out of a top 5 seed.

Miami battered BC last night to stay perfect in the Atlantic Coast Conference. And this is a BC team that, while hovering around a .500 record, has competed in many high-profile games this year, losing by five or less to N.C. State, Miami and Maryland, and going the distance with Baylor. Rion Brown came out of nowhere last night to score 22 points for the Hurricanes; he had only scored 17 in his previous four.

Miami has a lot of weapons, and with Reggie Johnson fully re-acclimated, the Canes may have an argument for the number one team in the country, and certainly for a top seed in the NCAAs at this point. Cannot wait for Miami's return trip to Durham. Going to be a lot on the line.

Miami is going to throttle Carolina this weekend. It will be worse than the Dook game.

If PJ Hairston is able to play -- I know he's still recovering from the head injury and the flu, but not sure on his status for this weekend -- I think Carolina will hang tougher than Duke did. What happened to Duke was one of those perfect storm type situations, where the Blue Devils were still in a state of disarray after losing Kelly, Curry-Cook-Thornton combined for 1-of-29 shooting from the perimeter, and Miami shot lights out and took advantage of Duke's panicked pressing in the second half by scoring on fast break after fast break.

Don't mistake that for an excuse. Duke got lampooned in Miami. It was a joke. But when your backcourt combines to shoot 0.03% from the field, you are f----ed.

He played last night in the thrashing of Wake.

Ah. Thanks. Didn't catch any basketball last night as I came down with some variation of sickness yesterday. Stupid people at work who come no matter rain or fucking shine. Idiots. This is fairly tangential to the topic of basketball at hand, but people who try to come to work with malaria should have their ass beaten at the door by a security guard.

LOL. Not a chance. It would be HUGE for the Heels if they did win, but I just don't see it. At least they got to 16-6, 6-3 ACC before the next two games.

While I don't think Miami drops it at home, I would not be surprised at all if they do blow it. It will be a very close game. Unfortunately, Miami will not be as amped for a mediocre UNC team as they were to pounce on Duke. Duke, it seems, is the benchmark game each year for every single team in the ACC. It is terrible and terrifying as a fan to watch your team walk into every arena it plays in with that in the back of your mind.

That's life at Duke.

Indiana State is blowing out Creighton. 58-34 with about 11 minutes to go in the game. This win, despite a piss poor overall record (15-8, 8-4), especially for a mid-major, might put the Sycamores in the NCAAs.

Jake Odum is a lot of fun to watch play. Doesnt average a ton of points, but at about 16 pts, 4.5 rebs and 4.5 ast a game he is one of the more complete players in the country.

INST has wins over Miami (FL), Creighton, Wichita St., and Ole Miss as well as CLOSE losses to SDSU (62-55) and New Mexico in OT (77-68)

They won't get in barring they win the MVC regular season. The MVC regular season champ has gotten in for the last decade. Wichita and Creighton really struggling though. ISU may just be the best in the league.

Not that experts are the end all. But Seth Davis had them playing there way in 2 days ago, before this Creighton win.

And Lunardi has them as a play-in 12 seed right now in Bracketology. Again, before todays win over Creighton.
