My point is the bigger home team almost always get the damn calls....at just the right times. I don't agree with it but it's asinine to act like only a few teams get this unwarranted benefit.
If a "few" posters said they like Weeden and his future leading the Browns I'm sure you'd ignore it.

All the elite teams get the benefit of the officiating "siding with them" from time to time in their home arenas. All of them. Part of that is out of respect to their status as basketball powers and part of that is a result of the influence of their oftentimes iconic coaches. Ironman92 is correct, though, in that most seem to single out Duke as the only team that gets calls. It's a ridiculous notion. It's the way it works in almost all sports.
That's not me admitting that Duke "gets all the calls," but rather a simple item of information that everyone should know by now.

I was at the game. They were terrible on d. They fouled because they couldn't move their feet. In all honesty they could have been in the bonus much sooner then that.

Oh I know...horrible record and weak schedule. I like to bury those teams in the first 12:00...but it's usually just the opposite and once the big boys make a few adjustments and the cinderella's cool down it then gets ugly.

I just saw the last CBS Bracket projection and it had UK as a 10-seed. Not sure anyone would want to be the 2/7 in that side.
Illinois as a 3-seed (way too high)
Minnesota as a 3-seed (too high)
Cincinnati as a 2-seed (a bit too high)
New Mexico as a 7-seed (I think they win the MWC, or finish 2nd, and the MWC might be the 3rd best league)
Speaking of the Mountain West, it has Boise State (9), San Diego State (7), UNLV (5), New Mexico (7), Wyoming (5, lets get real, they haven't played anyone yet) and Colorado State (11). That's crazy.
I still hate conference winners having to be involved in the play-in games too.

Nd as an 8? That would be a hell of a tough 2nd rd match up for a 1 seed

I may take that if I make it out to deposit some money today. Have to re-up. Haven't bet in awhile. What time is that game?

UConn extends former Husky and Indiana Pacer Kevin Ollie a $7 million deal through 2017-18. Good move. Ollie hasn't skipped a beat early this season despite replacing a three-time national champion. UConn has looked very good early. The move also helps the staff get back on the recruiting trail, without having to deal with the added inconvenience of prospective recruits wondering who the coach will be the next season in Storrs.

I've prolonged lifting all day to watch this game and play poker. This is one of the worst games ever...EKU/WVU. Just terrible flow...EKU is shooting 10 for 32 yet is only down 10...

Good bet, Azu. Should have went with it. I did not, however, and decided to pick NFL and hand over cash to the casino instead. Ha. Such is life.
On to the next.

Some decent games on tomorrow. Indiana at Iowa, Michigan State at Minnesota and the gem of the day, Gonzaga at Oklahoma State. Looking forward to watching Marcus Smart go at it against Kevin Pangos and Gary Bell, Jr. Nice way to bring in the New Year.

Cincy on the road at Pitt right now on ESPN2. Hopefully the Bearcats can turn things around after a plodding start.

New Mexico +5 at St. Louis
Gonzaga +2.5 at Okie State
I parlayed both to win straight up. Almost a 6:1 payout on $12. Worth some boredom watching of 2 decent games...

I think honestly all three of those teams are very deserving of those seedsAzubuike24;1352767 wrote:http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/bracketology

After not gambling for months and taking home big returns yesterday on Cincy and College of Charleston covering the spread against Marist (it was only -4 when I picked and Marist is pitiful), I unfortunately now think I am Jimmy the Greek and will end up losing big at some point. Doing mostly college football today -- got Michigan straight up over South Carolina, which would pay out nicely -- but I am considering UConn at Marquette in hoops. Last I checked, Bovada had UConn at +5.5. Should have taken it last night when it was at +7. Think UConn gets 7 easily.
The real season starts tomorrow. So glad conference season is upon us.

I'm still cooling off. Ha. That's the way my luck rolls, though.
I took UConn, also. After the Clowney brick wall hit turned my world upside down today and literally made me dizzy at home, I fully expect UConn to forget all of its best players in Storrs or something else entirely stupid and lose big. Hope I'm wrong.

UConn hanging tough in OT. Shabazz Napier has a lot of Kemba Walker in him. Very similar in the way he is able to score from any angle and just will the ball into the basket, despite being undersized and often taking extremely difficult, off-balanced shots inside the lane. I think he could be a NPOTY candidate next season.
Ryan Boatright having a heck of a game also. Despite the mass defections in the off-season, Kevin Ollie has done an incredible job with this club and getting them to play hard each and every game. It's a strong group that would have been a tough out in March.

As far as gambling goes, I cleaned up today with Stanford and Florida State
