Are you sure about that? Lets just see how everything I said pans out. Here is another fact: Coach K retires at either 1000 wins or a 5th title whichever comes first. If he wins it this year he comes back to see Jabari Parker play his one year at Duke then retire!

Lol. Call me a doubting Thomas, but I have a hard time believing someone that close to a program of Duke's caliber would post things like this. Hey reclegend, please let us know when you get that autographed shirt, and I'll fire off an apology to RRN.

I do believe that Coach K wants to be the first male coach to reach 1,000 wins. Any coach in that position would. However, there is no way he is retiring in two seasons, even if he wins back-to-back titles this year and next. He will coach into his 70s. He's got the same untiring, hardcore mentality as a Joe Paterno or Jim Calhoun, that internal clock that just won't stop. He will remain on the Duke sideline for as long as he is winning at a national championship level.

(9)Kansas/(7)OSU
(10)Illinois/(12)Missouri

Other than that...pretty shitty day of matchups

I think Temple and Syracuse will be a better game than expected at the Garden today. Or at Brooklyn's arena. Wherever it is.

Thanks.

Syracuse comes out strong early, and is basically the home team. Temple will need to hit a couple of bombs to get some confidence going, especially with the Orange making their threes early.

Temple doing an excellent job of getting the ball into the center of Syracuse's zone. Textbook basketball.

Not sure if the Owls can hang on to the lead or not, though. Sixteen more minutes. They've looked shaky at times handling the ball out top despite the seven-point advantage they currently have.

Temple starting to bury every three it takes. Things looking ominous for Syracuse. The Owls were an underrated team heading into the season, and the 30-point loss to Duke did nothing to dispel that notion, but they are a much better team than they get credit for. There are some really good players on that team. A possible Sweet 16, Elite Eight sleeper, IMO.

Temple-Syracuse going to the wire. Gonna be a good finish in Madison.

Game over. Missed 15 free throws and Sourherland only scored 6. Ugly.

Doris burke's "let that one go" logic is awful. You wouldn't call the moving screen because the defender was moving too? Seriously?

Great win for Temple. Khalif Wyatt has been a beast.

Another par for the course result. Parity...it's rampant this year.

Just because Kentucky isn't at the top this year, doesn't mean the teams at the top aren't as good.

Indiana, Kansas, Duke, Michigan, Florida, Louisville...those are really good teams for any year.

Disagree. Nobody this year is close to the top 3 last year, IMO. Has nothing to do with UK...but it's funny how UK isn't even in the top 25 yet could end up making a serious run.

Don't get me wrong either, I'm not dissing anyone. As a pure college basketball fan, regardless of my own team's success, I'd much rather it be wide open like it is. I'm just saying, there's a ton of parity. The BCS leagues aren't nearly as dominant as they used to be. There are 3 or 4 other mid-major leagues who may get 3-5 teams in. There are half a dozen mid-major teams who can legitimately make the Elite 8/Final Four with the right draw.

I'm talking about the top teams..the teams I listed. By the end of this season, you'll see they are just like the previous years really good teams. Agree with you on down though.

We'll see. I think the top teams will be more vulnerable, earlier in the Tournament than last year. Again, you included a team like Louisville in there. I don't think they are good at all. They can't score. They could lose on the first weekend. And that's the favorite in the Big East and a possible 1-seed? Same with Florida. Indiana and Duke are on another level, from what I've seen, but unbeatable? No way, we saw it with Indiana against Butler, although I think that was somewhat of a fluke. Michigan and Kansas may be in that group.

I guess looking at the individual talent this year, that really drives this discussion. With the NBA lockout, last year was a very talented Draft class. This year, Cody Zeller, Shabazz Muhammad, Nerlens Noel are consensus top 5 picks? That's crazy. Heck, I've only seen 2 KU games in-full but Ben McLemore looks to me to be the only one I see who has legitimized his draft stock.
