Looking forward to Butler-Carolina tomorrow. The Tar Heels obviously have NBA players and Butler obviously does not, but if Clarke, Dunham and Smith can get got from three, you never know. I look for UNC to win by double figures and probably easily, but was really, really impressed by Brad Stevens' group against a Marquette team that was picked by some to finish in the top five of the Big East. They looked awful early, but regrouped and played with all-out energy till the final buzzer for a hard fought win.

I know it's Washington State, but KU could probably put up 125 against them tonight. WSU is sooo bad

Too lazy to look it up, who replaced Manning? Sadler?

Chaminade 62, Texas 44 and they are in the under 8 minute TV timeout. No Kabongo but this is a bit of a shocker.

Basically the most pathetic half of basketball I've seen from North Carolina, trailing 35-18 to Butler.

Butler is playing very well in every facet of the game, but this is just piss poor on all levels.

Correct.

And an absolutely terrible no call on the travel at the end of the half.

It's almost unfair with Clarke and Dunham on the same team.

This is an ass kicking of epic proportion.

It looks like Carolina picked up a bunch of pedestrians on the way to the arena and stuck them in UNC uniforms to play this game. Embarrassing. Just embarrassing.

Holy shit a little life from the Heels.

This is the PJ Hairston I expected from the moment he walked on campus.

And Stevens promptly uses a TIMEOUT to stop the momentum. Who would have thought that could work? lol

The angry, blank stares from the Carolina bench are hilarious. Roy wants you to know that he is a f------ cat person. Lol.

I've been championing it all fall, but Rotnei Clarke and Kellen Dunham constitute what might be the most potent shooting duo in the nation. These guys have range to half-court and, when in a rhythmic pattern, cannot be stopped.

As impressed with JMM that I have been in the past, I am even more unimpressed with him tonight.

He is giving no effort, no hustle; and every time something doesn't go his way, he is looking at the stripes.

Butler can play, eh?

Funny considering all of the jeers Duke got for "only" beating Butler for the championship. Granted, the Bulldogs are shooting superbly tonight, but Brad Stevens has a program. As any coach, though, he of course needs to have some high profile players to achieve high levels of success, and he certainly has that in former Arkansas Razorback Rotnei Clarke.

He's a walking turnover tonight. Awful game from him.

Butler is a really good team. Picked 6th in the A10, hard to believe.

I'm glad Carolina has fought back, but it kind of pisses me off even more. They gave a garbage effort for 30 minutes, and then started playing. I don't care if you have a relatively young team, playing hard has nothing to do with experience level.

2 guys that have been a bright spot for me for Carolina, Dex and PJ.

Both started slow, but are playing extremely hard now and well. Paige is playing better also, after an abysmal first half.

I of course meant "jeers Duke got" above, but yeah, it really is hard to believe that Butler was picked to finish sixth in the A-10. That said, though, Butler certainly looked like the 6th rated team in the A-10 when Xavier was humiliating them in Cincy a week ago.

But they will not finish the season the sixth best team. As we are seeing tonight, there is way too much talent there with Clarke, Dunham, Stigall and Smith. Andrew Smith's development will be the key, I think, as the season wears on. I know he's a senior, but if Smith can continue to get better with each passing game and really prove to be that Matt Howard type big man with the versatility to rebound and shoot from all over the floor, Butler can do big things. The other parts are there, especially on the perimeter.
